We had a wonderful time at Heliotopos Hotel. Yiotta and Stella were wonderful, and helped us figure out where to go, where to eat, and were helpful in every way. The views from Imerovigli are unbelievable, and it is much better there for children than in Oia. We were travelling with our kids (ages 3 & 7), my parents, and my sister. We had a fabulous stay. They have a great breakfast in the mornings. They have a nice pool (ice cold water, but it feels great in 100 degree heat). The ONLY thing that I wish was improved was that there bathrooms could use some upgrading/updating. Very old and cramped. But very clean nonetheless. Be aware, there are a lot of stairs here (as I'm sure there are in every other hotel on Santorini), but handrails are there.

An amazingly well kept stylish collection of apartments/rooms that while maintaining their local character provides all the amenities one finds in any luxury hotel room worldwide.

The lovely operators were extremely friendly while being discreet and kind and provided us with all the inside information in regards to Santorini’s best locations for gourmet food and drink including wine testing, swimming and sunbathing and also cultural tips far superior to the information one finds on a standard guide.

When not exploring one of the grand volcanic-sand beaches and especially after, bathing at the stylish swimming pool on the verge of the dreamiest view imaginable will certainly follow us as a fond memory in years to follow.

The breakfast was an extravaganza of well cooked local products and fresh fruit and vegetables including a tasty home-made pie every day that dimmed all standard continental breakfasts one finds mostly everywhere else.

Heliotopos exceeded our expectations in all aspects and became our definitive choice of stay in Santorini.

I am a frequent traveler who rarely visits a destination twice, for the world is big enough to go to new places. Santorini is one of the few places I decided to go back to . Heliotopos Hotel definitely helped add to that decision. Great boutique hotel with a superb location, and a very special breakfast. The service there is very personal yet professional. However, if you decide to go to Santorini I would recommend to go either May, June or September (not July & August) to escape the over touristy vibes.

We were at Heliotopos in mid-July and had a great time.Initially,we were a bit apprehensive, but everything turned out to be how we imagined. The views from the hotel were absolutely majestic, the post-cards and site do not do it justice, sipping fine local wine and enjoying the view while the sun sets is truly an unforgettable experience. As this was a holiday for our 10th anniversary,I can honestly say that the setting was perfect.

The staff were very friendly and helpful. They told us things about the island, what to visit which beaches to go(things that only locals know).

We were very pleased with the rooms and the breakfast offered was of wide variety and abundance.

In a nutshell,a gret hotel with great staff. Will definitely go back in the near future.

I can't say enough about what a wonderful place Heliotopos was to stay in Santorini. We happened to just pick it off of the internet out of a few hotels. Our final decision to stay there was due to the fast response from Stella about our questions and rates about the hotel. You always worry about booking something over the internet without a personal recommendation. This hotel exceded our expectations. As soon as we arrived, we had a glass of wine near the pool. When we went down to our room, we were very happy that we had purchased a bottle of wine so that we could enjoy the unbelieveable sunset from the privacy of our balcony. As soon as we woke up every morning, we went right to open the doors so that we could start enjoying the beauty of Santorini. The breakfast every morning was delicious. Not only was the food great but so was the company. It was having breakfast with family. I enjoyed it every morning. You have to try the carrot cake if they make it while you are there. The fresh squeezed orange juice was another one of our favorites. We had trouble getting cabs a few days because they just don't have enough during busy times of the day. The girls at the hotel called a rental car company and they came to pick us up instead. This was a better option. Our driver took us to the beach and also agreed to be waiting for us at the same location when it was time to go back to the hotel. He was there and then took us to dinner later that evening.
Tips...Eat at Saltsa and Selene. We also had a great lunch in Oia at Ambrosa. Look around at several stores before buying because they have lots of the same items but very different prices. I can't imagine anyone going to Santorini and staying at the Heliotopos and not having one of the best times of their life! Go and enjoy but bring good shoes to walk in and dress casual.
