We chose to stay at Anastasis Apartments based on all the positive TripAdvisor reviews, and we were absolutely not disappointed. We arrived in Santorini after traveling for about 24 hours and taking four separate flights, so needless to say, we were exhausted. We were welcomed warmly, given a brief tour, and shown to our room (a Superior Apartment--we booked this hotel about 9 months in advance and this was the last room left!). We mentioned being hungry, and about 15 minutes later, a bottle of wine and some delicious snacks arrived on our patio--just the first example of how amazing the service is at this hotel.

The room was simply decorated and spacious with a comfortable bed and great bathroom (with a hairdryer), but the best place to be was outside on our patio...the view was amazing and we enjoyed eating breakfast and snacks there. The pool area is gorgeous, and the staff keeps the area impeccable. Even though the hotel was full, the pool area was never crowded and we often felt like we were at our own private resort. I believe all guests are offered private use of the jacuzzi to watch the sunset one night, and that was an unforgettable experience.

We were also extremely pleased with the location of the hotel. We walked to both Fira and Oia and were glad we stayed where we did--we loved the peace and quiet. There is a tavern that's about a three minute walk away, and we thought the food there was really good. Also, the hotel has a room service menu, and they will bring food and drinks to your room or by the pool, so we took advantage of that a few times and thought it was great. My husband was surprised that the hotel has a computer with free Internet access that guests can use (although we were instructed to not use it too much because we were on vacation!).

As others have mentioned, the best part of this hotel is the staff. Despina, Katerina, and everyone else were just amazing. Despina told us that she works really hard to find the best staff members she can find, and it shows. Everyone was friendly and more than accommodating. The minute we sat down by the pool, we had glasses of cold water and offers to put up our umbrella. If a staff member saw my husband or I taking a picture of the other, he or she would come over and offer to take one of us together. If we asked for a restaurant recommendation, we got not only a recommendation but a drawing of how to get there (and even once an offer to be driven by a staff member who was headed that way). We enjoyed each restaurant the staff recommended. Katerina was great and helped us plan all our activities, even taking care of renting us an ATV for one day.

We would definitely return to this hotel. It is relaxing, quiet, romantic, and the service is unparalleled. Next time, I think we would try to get one of the suites with a large balcony and private jacuzzi (but I'm pretty sure you can't go wrong with any of the rooms here). We had an unforgettable time.

I will certainly not do the Anastasis justice, but I will certainly try…

I set out to plan the ultimate honeymoon. A frequent traveller, I have high expectations for hotels. TripAdvisor reviews further raised the bar. The moment I arrived at Anastasis, I knew I was in for something special. Hospitality and attention to detail are second to none. The little things like a cold glass of water by the pool, a drink and desert upon arrival, a genuine greeting at every passing, a restaurant suggestion, and countless other examples are truly the differentiation of Anastasis. When we arrived without luggage, they made efforts to track and expedite our luggage as if it were their own. My wife was pregnant during our honeymoon, and we were treated as though we were baring their unborn niece/nephew. Despina, Ekaterina and crew found the perfect balance between being attentive and respecting privacy. The experience was so amazing, it is almost not reasonable to expect such service.

As I mentioned earlier, I am frequent traveller and have stayed at countless hotels. If I could take one vacation in the remainder of my lifetime, I would spend it at Anastasis.

What can we say that other guests have not said already. We stayed in the White Suite which was breathtaking at the beginning of May. Im afraid all these good reviews will mean we will never be able to get a booking again!!! I would love to return to anastasis for our anniversary next year. Everything every other reviewer says is true of this place. It was the absolute highlight of our greek islands trip, we stayed in Santorini, Paros and Mykonos and can absolutely say that we have never stayed in accomodation such as this before. We will be back again, I hope we will be able to get a booking!!!

We have just got back from a fabulous mini-moon at this gorgeous hotel. Despina and her gang - Katerina, Dina, Eddie, Bledie and several other members of staff - made our stay personal, flawless, and super relaxing. We chose not to rent a car, or do any sight seeing, as we needed to rest and rejuvenate, and that was easily obtained in the luxurious White Suite (room 101), which has a massive private roof terrace, complete with comfy loungers, and also the added bonus of a private garden, complete with shaded seating area, and best of all, a hot-tub! This little oasis of calm became our spot for breakfast and lunch every day - it was heavenly!
The swimming pool is divine, and the view from it needs to be seen to be believed. The hotel is spotless, and the room was comfy and spacious, with a large flat screen tv, dvd player, and cd player.
The food in the hotel is top notch. We had breakfast inc. in our room rate which consisted of a basket of fresh rolls and croissant, and then a different variation every day of either yogurt or cereal, and then either cake, warm pastisseries or something savory. It was a delight, and the fresh orange juice and hot coffee topped it off! They also serve a variety of room service "snacks" and drinks. We totally over-ordered for lunch on the first day, as the portions are very generous. The club-sandwich and greek salad became the favourite choices! We spent around 90 euros on 4 lunches and some other drinks and cocktails, so pretty reasonable too.
We ate out every night in a different restaurant recommended by Katerina. Vanilla in Firostefani was great - we had the fresh sea-bass which was melt in the mouth - and there is a lovely sunset view from the top terrace - around 100 euros for 2 courses each, and a bottle of wine. Ambrosia Nectar in Oia we would also recommend - delicious stuffed lamb, and fun desserts - similar in price, maybe a little cheaper. We went for a different approach the next night, and sampled some rustic food in Toy Nikoy Taverna down the road. They offer a free lift there and back, and the staff are charming. The food is basic but very tasty - we had the stuffed tomatos and peppers to start which were yummy, then chicken souvlaki which was tender, and the lamb chops. Half the price of the other restaurants around, and certainly nice for a change. We went to Archipelgos in Fira on our last night, and that was special, mainly due to a perfect sunset, and impeccable service - 100 euros again though.
All in all it was the most perfect 4 days, and we are going to start saving now to go back for our 5 year anniversary!
We can't recommend this hotel enough. Go there, you won't be disappointed!
Yassas & Efharisto to all at Anastasis - we will be back one day!

White every where. A Host who thoroughly greets you as soon as you enter the establishment. Your luggage disappearing to your room without ceremony. A delicious welcome treat delivered to your room as you refresh and prepare for your island adventure. True concierge service, personified as friendly inputs, offering insider knowledge and suggestions on everything from where to go, what to eat and how to get there. . . . and arranging for outside services without even a thought.

A view that takes your breath away. A remarkably lovely 10 room boutique hotel that is serene, beautifully landscaped, and flawlessly maintained. A room that includes details for every romantic, i.e. candles - with matches, first rate bedding and linens, fresh flowers everywhere, modern adaptable lighting and technical features (Flat screen TV, DVD and movies for viewing). And . . .if you must, free internet service.

A jacuzzi tub in your bathroom, or a jacuzzi tub outside overlooking the view - take your pick or enjoy both. A small menu for room service. Fresh delightful breakfast items presented at your choice of locations. A spotless kitchenette with an extensive array of small gadget if you prefer your own cooking.

This is a place for two to begin, regroup, or renew. I normally have somewhat fast paced vacations, but I hungered to do nothing but hang around this hotel and relax. The calming, peaceful aura of the hotel is almost intoxicating, forcing you to want to just enjoy its' setting.

The hotel is at the top of a cliff and is 45 minutes walking distance to Fira, or 2 hour hiking distance to Oia (for those in decent shape - while beautiful, this is not a simple stroll.) I recommend seeing the island via your own transportation - bus service, although easy from the hotel, is time consuming.

Kudos to Despina, Katerina and the whole crew at Anastasis Apartments. They have truly perfected a 5 star experience in a small luxury setting. The glitz of a larger property is not here, nor are some of the amenities . . . . . .but the hotel is beyond compare for personalized service and romantic charm. This crew could teach some of the best how it is really done! Despina goes way beyond to please, and her pride in ownership sparkles everywhere you look, beginning with the design of the hotel, and its' decor and ending with the selection of the outstanding 9-11 member team. When leaving the hotel, Despina went out of her way and surprised us with a personalized request that will forever bind us to the hotel. This was one of the most amazing hotels in my travels and Despina is truly a standout!

No detail missed. . .. . no service item too much to ask . . . . No need to look anywhere else.

Santorini is amazingly beautiful and is truly a Fantasy Island. On the Fantasy Island of Santorini, is the Fantasy Hotel of Anatasis Apartments!
