My husband and I stayed at the Santorini Princess for our honeymoon and it was amazing. A big reason we chose the Santorini Princess was the reviews on tripadvisor and we are so happy we did.

Everything is amazing about this hotel. It's views, from every angle, are incredible. It looks over the caldera, seemingly in the center of it all. (It is nicely located, by the way. And as the island of Santorini isn't too huge you will find everything within a 10-20 min drive.) The pool was wonderful, the breakfast fantastic and our room was incredible. One thing I was unsure about when booking was the difference between the different room options. We ended up booking apartment 3 and it was great. In front of it was a small patio with table and chairs, looking out on the caldera, which was lovely. (From what we could tell every room had the same at a minimum - some with bigger balconies and such.) We arrived at night and were happy to order a late dinner from the hotel kitchen and eat it on our amazing little patio. Once you enter, there are really two rooms to enjoy. First, there was a sitting area, kitchen table, a couch against the wall - and roomy, not at all crowded. This leads into the bedroom, with a lovely bed and wall mounted tv. There was actually a second door, so if you'd like you could close off the bedroom from the other part of the apartment. The bathroom was not huge, but it was very nice with a lovely sauna tub. And suffice it say, everything was beautifully decorated, kept up and extremely clean.

They have a common room where you can go to get wireless internet. The thickness of the walls, I think, prevents them from offering it in every room - it just can't get through. But it worked perfectly in their common room. And the nice thing about thick walls - we didn't hear a peep from anyone outside. (Well maybe a few peeps our second night when Greece advanced to the next round in the World Cup - but that was ok :)

I thought the food was really great and they will serve you at any time. Overall it was the service that made this beautiful place so wonderful. They offer airport pickup and dropoff, will drive you to and pick you up from any place on the island for less than a taxi and are available 24/7 should you need anything. And I mean anything - they booked a boat trip for us, rented a four wheeler to us, booked our travel to Crete and offered to make a shipment home for us when we got a little excited and bought too many bottles at a local winery! (We highly recommend renting a four wheeler from them and taking it around the island for a day - it was one of the highlights of our trip. We were able to visit several beaches and a couple of wineries driving around at it was a blast.)

So that was a lot, but I can't more highly recommend the Santorini Princess. It was expensive, but amazingly less so than many other of the island hotels - it felt like a true luxurious paradise the entire time and created memories that will last a lifetime. My husband and I both talk longingly about going back. So that is my one warning - Greece and Santorini will do that to you - make you long to return!

I depend on Tripadvisor when I am making travel plans and I have meant to write a review of the Santorini Princess for some time now.
We were travelling Athens, Mykonos and Santorini with a large group and one member of our group suggested the Santorini Princess.
I must admit at first I thought it was expensive but, we decided to go ahead and book it for our large group (10 people).
We got off the ferry from Mykonos and a driver was waiting for us. He drove us up the steep roads of Santorini to our lovely hotel…he was on the phone on the way up reporting where we were. When we arrived the owner of the hotel Achilles and two other staff members were actually standing at the gate ready to welcome us with a drink.
Everything was looked after for us and we were promptly sent on a tour of the hotel. Each staff member standing ready to introduce us to the hotel.
Our room was nothing short of magnificent. Our beautiful balcony overlooked the Caldera…I could open the doors and look out at passing ships in the morning.
The staff at the hotel were obviously trained to be attentive to all of the guests needs. I swear if I got up by the pool to move my lounge chair 2 people sprung up to move it for me.
Sunset from our beautiful balcony was simply amazing.
We were a large group and we arranged a private dinner on one of the hotel terraces one night which was really special.
Getting anywhere in Santorini was not easy, you were a good bit outside of the main town. That being said the hotel drive was always happy to take you in – this was convenient but costly.
We loved the Bloody Mary’s by the pool in the afternoon but once again – they were costly.
Basically this was the best hotel experience of my life and it made me realize that if you are travelling to Europe (I am from Canada) the trip is already costly.
Making sure you book a hotel that treats you like royalty is worth every penny.
Kudos to Achilles and his staff – this is a first class hotel.

We have visited Santorini 4 times in the past but this must have been the very best. We found the princess in a travel book and the choice we made was the best ever. We already booked for next August and we can not wait to return. Everyone at this hotel is very friendly and the service the best ever. See you all soon.

My husband and I recently spent a week at the Santorini Princess to celebrate our 10 yr. wedding anniversary. We booked it solely on trip advisor reviews after MUCH research. Beautiful, quiet, and the customer service is BEYOND all expectations - which makes this hotel very special.
We arrived after sunset and were picked up at the aiport by the hotel car service. After a quick trip up to Imerovigli we arrived, and were received by George and his staff as if we were royalty. Bags were immediately brought to our room as we were given a brief tour of the hotel and met with one of the owners, Achilleas, who was fantastic. The entire staff was kind and up to offer us anything we asked for. After a welcoming wine cocktail , we ordered room service after a long day of travel. Food was outstanding and staff was so kind and accommodating. (Igor and Constantinos are the best!) This trend continued the entire 6 days we stayed. The owners, and staff, helped us with restaurant recommendations and many ways to enjoy the island.
We rented a 4-wheeler for the week, a recommendation from Achilleas - it was brillaint. Small, fast, easy to park, anf FUN! Able to spend the week visiting Oia, Fira, Kamari, wineries, and shops.
Hotel is small but luxurious - we stayed in the honeymoon suite which had its own private jacuzzi on the balcony with the most amazing view we have ever seen. The best on the island! We spent all sunsets there and enjoyed the sun and room service there as well. Bed was very comfortable and jacuzzi tub in the bathroom was perfect. Housekeeping kept us clean and happy all week and they were extremely fast and efficient. Pool is lovely and all chairs are comfortable; restaurant is small but accommodating with fantastic food at every meal. Our main recommendation, however, is to hit a supermarket in one of the villages to pick up wine, beer, snacks etc - much cheaper than trying to order at the restaurant everyday. It gave us a steady supply in our mini-fridge for time spent on the balcony. We weren't able to use the spa, but it looked lovely. Amazing views from the top of the hotel as well and the peace and quiet here can't be beat. We wanted romance and relaxation - the Princess is the best place to achieve it.
We enjoyed the winery tours and catamaran tour with Santorini Sailing - SO WORTH the $. We brought home beautiful wines from Santo and Boutari, as well as Greek olive oil and snacks to share!
Overall, the Santorini Princess completely exceded our vacation expectations. My husband and I are pretty well traveled but have never seen such an incredibly beautiful place as Santorini, nor have we ever enjoyed a hotel as much as we enjoyed the Princess. If you are looking for a relaxing and romantic get away, this is the only place to be in Santorini! Thank you Achilleas and staff - we'll be back!
