“Lovely villas overlooking the caldera with superb service”
Reviewed 23 June 2014

A lovely small resort with excellent service all around. The hotel arranged a shuttle to pick us up at the port very late at night. Our luggage didn't make it to Athens with us, so when we arrived without luggage in Santorini we explained that we had to go to the airport the next morning to get it since the airport was already closed that night. We slept in, and when we woke up we were pleasantly surprised that they retrieved our luggage for us. We spent a lot of time at the pool sipping cocktails. The food was delicious. The staff was very helpful with recommendations for activities and restaurants. They also made several reservations for us. If you stay here, you will need to utilize the shuttle to go almost anywhere, but it was always readily available. The driver was very nice, though I was a little terrified with the driving on the island. It is a little fast and crazy. One note is to bring conditioner. They only provided shampoo and body wash.

Our departure was very late in the day. We actually took a morning boat trip. Santorini Princess accommodated us by storing our luggage and booking the spa room so we could shower before we left. They sent us away with t-shirts and a bottle of wine. We definitely recommend Santorini Princess.

Room Tip: Our room overlooked the caldera and had a little patio. The room we stayed in was a bit small, but...

We spent a week at the Santorini Princess recently and really loved it. I think the hotel is in a perfect spot, as the hustle and bustle of most tourists are found in Eia, so you can enjoy a quieter and more romantic atmosphere. The rooms are a decent size with beautiful bathrooms, comfortable beds, flat screen tv's and we had a beautiful private balcony overlooking the caldera. The staff are extremely attentive and ready to assist with any enquiry - they even snuck in and cleaned our room a few times while we ate a quick breakfast . The buffet breakfast is delicious, and the food they serve throughout the day is amazing - the pastas and burgers were delicious! I hate to look for any fault but if there is any problem with this venue, it is the way air conditioning is set up - I know that you can ask the staff at the main office to change the temp of your room but I found it difficult to sleep as we had to keep getting up during the night to turn it on when the room was too hot, then to turn it off once it got too cold. Having your own control is always handy as everybody has different preferences. Other than that, I can't name am issue we had with the place and I would definitely recommend this place to families and couples. Thanks for a great experience :)

This was an exceptionally lovely hotel/resort. The staff was outstanding. The service provided was among the best we have ever encountered during our many travels. The staff will go above and beyond to make your stay one of your most memorable.

Have just returned from our second stay at the wonderful Santorini Princess (albeit after a 2 year gap)I can honestly say it felt like coming home and I hope we don't leave it so long next time!
From the moment you arrive, you are made to feel very welcome and the whole check-in is effortless-in fact I think we were already by the pool relaxing after 15 mins
In my mind the Santorini Princess is in the perfect location-it is at the bottom of the hill in Imerovigli-facing the caldera with amazing views. It also means that it is far more relaxed-you don't have people on top of you as you can do if you stay in the the main hotel spots of either Imerovigli or Oia.From the Santorini Princess you can easily walk up to the main bit of town. It's a stunning walk up the edge of the caldera and takes about 20 mins or so.Or if you prefer you can arrange a transfer from the hotel which takes about 5 mins.
Food at S.P. was great-the Breakfast is a help yourself buffet with something for every taste-cereals,meats,greek yoghurt, pastries, eggs(which can be cooked to order),cheeses, fresh fruit, breads, jams and everything in between! The view from the restaurant(which is at the top of the hotel) is stunning and you'll be happy slowly eating and staring out to sea!The restaurant is open for breakfast from 8 a.m to 11a.m and then till 11pm for everything else. Most days we had our lunch poolside and I have to say the poolside staff are fantastic and very attentive-bringing us ice instinctively when we ran out as well as free little afternoon treats such as juices or little ice creams:-)
Rooms come in many shapes and sizes-previously we had one at the far end of the hotel with a balcony-this time we had one of the poolside rooms with private patio. Both are great-if anything I would say the poolside ones seemed to keep a little cooler at night and there wasn't really any audible noise from the pool once inside the room.To be honest-whichever room you choose you will be happy!
Truly the best thing though about the hotel (apart from the view!) are the staff.Service always comes with a smile and truly nothing is too much trouble. You are really made to feel like a star.
Whether it's for information, restaurant recommendations or just for a chat about life, the world and everything they are there to please.
Just a quick note for the health conscious-there is no gym/fitness room at the hotel but they are more than happy to arrange the use of a gym at a nearby hotel (2 mins walk) which we ended up using most days. There is however a Spa consisting of 2 foot spas,a Jacuzzi, sauna, and massage room with a large menu of treatments available.
So thank you,in alphabetical order(and apologies if I left anyone out!) to..Achilleias,Alex,David,George,Kostas,Michael,Nadia and Yannis
We will see you again soon!

I cannot say enough nice things about the property and the staff! The service and hospitality they provided throughout our stay was above and beyond! We were warmly greeted with a tour of the property and served champagne and a petite dessert as we got settled into our room.

We lost our luggage on the way over and the hotel staff was more than willing to pick it up for us at the airport and also made my mom and I feel super comfortable enjoying breakfast in our bathrobes (although no one else was).

Every recommendation they provided was spot on and they were happy to keep them coming!

Meals:
Breakfast every morning was delicious. The fresh squeezed orange juice and assorted items were the perfect start to our days. The last morning we tried a chocolate banana crepe, which was absolutely delicious!
We enjoyed two dinners at the hotel. The first dinner there we tried the Greek Pizza (which we were thinking about the rest of the trip) and a salad. The second dinner we enjoyed the duck and seafood risotto.

Room:
We stayed in room 6, which was very homey and just the amount of space we needed. It was clean and well kept. Main bed was really comfortable. The second smaller bed, which might normally serve as a couch/seating area, was a little firm, but my mom didn't seem to mind.

Location:
The hotel is perfectly situated between Fira & Oia. From the hotel it doesn't appear that you can walk to either, but we walked to both and really enjoyed the scenery while doing so.

I would HIGHLY recommend this location for a couple looking for a romantic getaway, solo trip for relaxation, or getaway with friends / girls trip. I don't see the hotel as a great fit for little ones. I would thrilled to have the opportunity to come back and stay here again!

Most tourists go to Santorini for the dramatic views and sunsets, and you can get those from dozens of boutique hotels in Imerovigli, Oia or Fira; Santorini Princess is one of the classiest of them. What you get that is really above the others is the immaculate professional service with a smile. We have been to a few five-stars places around the world that could learn a thing or two from the Santorini Princess staff. You also get delicious breakfasts, a heated pool (not big enough to swim lanes but great for small children who behave themselves!) and gourmet food for dinner. As a family of four, we had a family suite (No 4) which had two spacious bedrooms, two shower rooms (the biggest we have had on Greek islands where the bathroom tends to be an afterthought), a generous living area and a balcony with the famous views; we could have comfortably stayed there for weeks.

We couldn't have been happier staying anywhere else. The views were spectacular as was the staff. The staff was very attentive and even picked up on us not liking a dish that we ordered (not that there was anything wrong with it-just wasn't to our taste) and offered us another selection without us even having to ask. They were very helpful in every way with plenty of staff for such a small resort. The resort was a few minutes away from anything commercial which made it very relaxing but if you wanted to go anywhere, they were happy to provide reasonably priced transportation from their own staff and hotel vehicles. Our room was also very spacious and comfortable with a nice outdoor seating area overlooking the pool. We highly recommend this property.
