Not sure what hotels that the negative feedback people stayed at, but it couldn't have been here ? This place was gorgeous & ALL the staff were as helpful as helpful can be

Our 2 bedroom villa although initially smelling a bit earthy (built into the side of the mountain, so expected), was not only spacious, but of a quality niche design
3 unique pools in not only size, but design were quiet & you had regular small plates of local snacks being brought around the pool area's during the days (well when we was there anyway)

The Breakfasts we paid for was good & regularly changed most mornings to accommodate our other European counterparts taste

All the staff at the front desk couldn't do enough for you & always delivered a service with a smile

The only downside to all this, was the 2 lifts you had to take from roadside down to the front desk, with a walk in-between. But lets be honest here, when your perched on the side of a mountain, what more do you expect ! The views certainly made of for that once there

TRULLY STUNNING :-)

Room Tip: Book well in advance to save disappointment

I am in love with this place . Breathtaking view from our very own vip suite.A very peaceful place just the way we want. Having wine in our very own Jacuzzi while watching sunset was just awesome and mind blowing. Every thing was white like traditional Santorini Houses.Best part was the lift as most of the Santorini hotels are on cliff without any lift.

we were two couples travelling together and made our reservations thru our travel agengy. when we arrived to stay for 3 nights we were given 2 rooms at different floors. We asked to be given 2 adjacent rooms but Julie the receptionist claimed that this is the best she could arrange. So we went on to see the rooms. My room was room 18. the room was spacious, and that was it. the telephone was not working, the bathroom was tiny with curved arched ceiling. I could only stand in the middle without moving left or right while taking a shower otherwise i will hit my head. there was no shower curtain so water was all over the bathroom. paint was coming out of the wall/ceiling due to damptness. the safe box was broken and the sound of the fridge will keep you awake at night. I told Julie the receptionist that I want to change the room and obviously the answer was : we are full and maybe tomorrow. I told her it is unsafe to take a shower while the water is all over the bathroom. she offered to send extra towers to place on the floor to step on it.
the telephone was never fixed and no one contacted us to change the room. When we asked the front desk manager 2 days later she insisted no one told her that we asked to change the room and double checked her book of records to confirm it.
My advice is to never pay in advance. If I had the chance to change the hotel I would have done it immediately. Imerovigli was full of hotels with the same beautiful view of the caldera.

The view was breathtaking. There was a terrace in front of the room overlooking the sea….mind blowing sun set. All cliff hotels have good views but most don’t have lifts, this one did!! The steps were still killing!! If you decide to stay here then best rooms are 61,63,64,65 & 66. Contact Taula Kyriaki, she shud be able to help.

Room Tip: best rooms are 61,63,64,65 & 66

Imerovigli is a tiny village on the rim of the crater. The hotel entrance is up at the rim, the rooms with their verandas follow the slope down the crater. That is why some reviewers complain about the stairs. But this is the flipside of the fantastic views you will have!
There are several small swimming pools, each surrounded by luxurious twinbeds with complimentary towels, each with an option for creating shade. Each room/veranda has a fantastic view overlooking the crater and the sea, you can enjoy the beautiful sunset every day. Staff is friendly and professional. Meals at the restaurant vary in their value-for-money. There are two small supermarkets at walking distance from the hotel.
We rented a suite, which was very spacious. We did not opt for the VIP suite (private jacuzzi), but were upgraded to one on the last day. I'm not sure I would have been willing to pay that much extra for the jacuzzi, as we had almost private use of the joint swimmingpools. But once the hotel fills up over the season other people will make different choices.
You can spend a nice relaxing week here if you bring your books, do a sunset cruise and rent a car for a day.

Room Tip: Suite #60 has a veranda just above the kitchen's chimney. Although the smell of food is nice, it...

When we first arrived, we were greeted by a porter with a huge smile on his face, welcoming us to the hotel. He escorted us to reception, stopping along the way to take in the magnificent views. And I stress magnificent! Reception sat us down, offered us a drink and took the time to acquaint us with the hotel and the surroundings. The room was spacious and comfortable, the wait staff was extremely courteous and the food was scrumptious.

The staff at the front desk helped us rent a car, arrange a snorkelling trip and arrange an all-important manicure for my fiancée. :) And when we hadn't heard from our travel company confirming our transportation out, the staff called several people to track the info down for us.

In response to Betty L's comment about lots of steps, there are quite a few. But given the hotel is built into the side of a cliff, there are no more steps than I expected.

This hotel offers the complete package. I came for the view and got a whole lot more!

We stayed at Andromeda for six nights with our two children (all in one room). The place is beautiful. Every morning you open your front door of your room and are greeted with heaven. The view is amazing. To the left you can see Oia (the top of the island) and in front you can see another island as well as the volcano. The only view that you don't get unfortunately, is of Fira (the capital). It's big advantage is that it's situated in a quite part of Santorini, away from the restaurants, shops and more importantly, the clubs!

The hotel is clean, serves a pretty good breakfast (in European standards) and has a bar near the pool which serves lunch and drinks all day. As well as the main pool, the resort also boasts two smaller pools (one right on the cliff top ).

The stairs are a bit of an issue, but thats the same for the entire island. It's a mountainous place!! The resort has tried its best to make this as easy as possible by installing two lifts which get you to the reception area. You just have to learn the way. There is always someone available to help with the bags anyway.

In four short years since our last stay on the island, the service levels generally have changed (not an issue at the resort, just a general comment on the island). The shop traders tended to treat us as second class citizens and would try and rip tourists off where they could. For an island that relies entirely on tourism, this is an issue. (however we found the taxi drivers really nice).

In summary, would highly recommend Andromeda
