The most beautiful views, with modern styled rooms and great service makes this property one of the best places I have ever stayed. Upon arrival, we were greeted by the owner and operator who provided detailed advice on where to go and what to see! Free Wi-Fi was a massive bonus! Then, we were taken to our room where we had a large balcony with sun chairs and a spa pool overlooking the beautiful Caldera. The room service menu was simple but brilliant. We ordered pasta and club sandwich and it was so delicious - given my experience with club sandwiches, this would have been the best I have ever had.

The hotel room was nicely air conditioned, modern LCD TV, large bathroom (with rain showers) and all it all just fits in. The hotel is located in IMEROVIGLI which is between Thira and Oia. You get proximity to the large towns but also privacy to enjoy the peace and views of Santorini. I would highly recommend hiring a vehicle (as parking is no problem) and its the best way to get around to see the sights and sounds of Santorini.

We stayed for 3 nights and it has been the most relaxing stay we have ever had. I cannot wait to come back again!

My wife and I have just returned from a short honeymoon staying at Remezzo. Before booking our stay in March, we trawled through the reviews of hotels across the island and looked no further than Remezzo. Believe everything you read about this hotel! We arrived exhausted from work and wedding preparations to incredible views across the Caldera and a very warm welcome from Vassilis. We were then bowled over by the amazing Honeymoon Suite, which awaited us with it's own private terrace, huge bed and extraordinary bathroom! What really differentiates this hotel from the competition is the personal touch you receive from Vassilis, his family and all the staff that work at Remezzo. You are treated like a close friend and made to feel unbelieveably welcome by everybody. Vassilis and his sister, Calipso go out of their way to make sure you have everything you want and need. From arranging transfers, booking dinner reservations (You get only the best tables!) to organising boat trips and hiring cars and quads - there is never anything too big or too small that they can do to make your stay perfect! On numerous occasions, my wife and I sat with Vassilis, Calipso and other guests drinking and chatting until the small hours on the main terrace. It is understandable why so many people come back to Remezzo year after year. I haven't even commented on the homemade breakfasts yet, freshly prepared by Vassilis' mother, which are nothing short of sublime! If you are looking for a relaxing break with that personal touch accompanied by breathtaking views and service, look no further than Remezzo. It is in a world of its own!!

We've been coming to Santorini for three years running. The reason: Remezzo and "the family". Vassilis, mother and sister plus staff make it a very special place and if you get the chance to visit Santorini, you need look no further than Remezzo for accommodation. Every year gets better.

Much is said of the caldera and the sunsets - no need to add much to these, save to say they are truly romantic and spectacular.

What makes it special for us is Vassilis and the whole team. Early morning or (very) late at night - nothing is too much trouble. They are the soul to Remezzo and Vassils' willingness to impart information and local knowledge helps you get the best out of your time - whether that is to buzz about or simply chill out. After three years of knowing Remezzo we can honestly say that Vassilis doesn't assume that we know our way around - he was always on-hand to suggest and find out for us. "Personal Service" is an overused claim by Hotels and quite often unjustified. In the case of Remezzo it is throughly appropriate.

Excellent rooms, excellent standard of cleanliness, excellent staff and excellent value for money.

You'll be very hard pressed to find better.

I cannot add much more to previous reviews of Remezzo; it is a superb place. Our room (Honeymoon Studio) was very comfy with cool design that goes very well the Greek character of the hotel. In addition there's free Wi-Fi in the room. Remezzo's location is very good, on top of the cliff, offering incredible views. The staff is friendly and relaxed. Breakfasts are just excellent. There's no restaurant but there's a couple of great tavernas/restaurants in the neighborhood.

Just splendid! Enjoy your stay :-)

Room Tip: Consider honeymoon studio. Watching sunset from jacuzzii is priceless!

When you first arrive at Remezzo Villas you can’t help but be amazed by the breathtaking views as you descend the long stairway to reception. At reception, we were warmly greeted by Vassilli, who helped us with all our plans for our stay, as well as giving restaurant recommendations, etc. We stayed three nights in a ‘senior suite’, which consists of two rooms; a bedroom with a queen size bed and a front room with a single bed, desk and small kitchenette (mini-fridge and two burners), with a large bathroom accessed by either room. Very charming suite, although the ‘private patio’ is really just a couple of chairs that are essentially part of the pool deck. Nonetheless, the views from the pool deck and the public patio above the pool is amazing, and has some of the best sunset views on the island; every evening people from all over the island would gather in the public parking lot nearby to watch the sunsets. Location is great; a few minutes walk brings you to the small town of Imerovigli, while a 30 minute walk or 5 euro taxi ride brings you to the main town of Fira. Be warned, however, that there is quite a shortage of taxis on the island so it can take quite a while to get a taxi; in town, the taxi drivers often refuse to go to Imerovigli because the would prefer a longer trip with a higher fare, so consider renting a car. Would definitely consider a repeat visit!

We chose to say in Remezzo Villas based on reviews we had read from previous guests, all concluded on one main argument: unbelievable experience. Many of the things I write might seem repetitive to what other people have written; nonetheless, I am writing about our experience and how much we LOVED our stay in Santorini and Remezzo Villas.

First of all, people must know that Remezzo Villas is located in the city of Imerovigli. This city is NOT the main city of Fira, which is a 40 minute walk away. Why would people staying in Santorini want to be so far from the "main" city? Several reasons, i list the one we considered the most important. Fira is indeed a beautiful city and offers the largest variety of restaurants and stores, but being the largest city, it is ALWAYS packed! We found our visits to Fira to be a little nerve-racking with so many people (specially on days when cruises dock in Santorini). Staying on a city that is further apart from all the noise and that is much more tranquil makes the stay more enjoyable. We still visited Fira more than a couple of times, the 40-minute walk is indeed enjoyable (but only once) and the taxi ride is only a 5€, which is not bad at all.

Now, with regards to the hotel. We stayed at the honeymoon studio for one main reason: private jacuzzi in the room terrace with views to the Caldera. This was definitely an excellent decision! The room is not huge but offers exactly what we needed: comfortable queen-size bed, spacious shower, safety deposit box and a nice terrace. The private jacuzzi is amazing, we spent several afternoons just enjoying our view, sunbathing, relaxing and enjoying some of the cocktails the hotel staff made. If you are the type of person that is traveling with your partner, I suggest you consider the honeymoon studio just to have your own jacuzzi. Enjoying the sunsets with my wife while we chilled in the jacuzzi is something I will never forget.

The hotel is run by a family, being Vassilis the host. Everything you've read about him in other reviews is absolutely true. This guy does know how to treat people, ever since you first arrive you get this mediterranean warm welcome that makes you truly feel comfortable. If you have any questions DO NOT hesitate to ask Vassilis, every question we had and suggestion we needed we went straight to Vassilis and he never disappointed, he stood up to all the positive reviews we had read about him. Being restaurants, activities, nightclubs, shops, etc. he always had suggestions which we absolutely enjoyed. For example, food, all restaurants he suggested were absolutely delicious: great food, good prices, amazing views. He even planned an entire day excursion for us that we loved! This guy will make your stay absolutely enjoyable, he is definitely the hotel's spirit and was the cherry on top of an amazing trip.

Now, another key topic in several reviews.... Breakfasts... DO NOT MISS ANY!!!! Breakfasts are different every morning, are veeery complete and very creative as well. We read about breakfasts and decided to give it a try on our first morning... ever since, we didn't miss a single one!! Not even after a long night out in one of the clubs to which we slept at 5 am... breakfasts are THAT good.

Last point... what to do in Santorini. We visited Fira on several occasions: shops, jewelry, restaurants, bars/lounge-bars, nightclubs (which are more like just bars). One thing that is very typical for tourists is taking the donkey ride up to Fira... we had to do this... it is quite an experience. It is enjoyable, a bit dangerous at some points and we believe it is one of those "musts" in Santorini.
Another day we rented a quad (four-wheeler) and decided to explore the island. Vassilis helped us plan a route and chose places for us to visit. Among other places, we went to the "red beach" (nice but too crowded), a smaller city with traditional architecture and to "Black Beach" (amazing!). If we were to suggest a single place, we would suggest to visit the black beach. Restaurants are very good, the beach is completely black and offers a very different experience and restaurants have their own sun beds, which is convenient.
One last thing we did and do suggest is to visit one of the wineries. We visited the Sigalas vineyard because we have tried one of their wines which we loved (called Santorini) and highly recommend.

In conclusion... Remezzo Villas is a hotel WE DO RECOMMEND. It is conveniently NOT in the main city, if offers beautiful views from the Caldera, the staff is very friendly, rooms are nice and clean, breakfasts are delicious, Vassilis will make your stay even more enjoyable with all his excellent advice and the price is very reasonable.

Any questions please do post a reply and i'll be happy to help.

Enjoy Santorini!
