A must do in Panzano, meeting Stefano and experience his expertise on wine and life will change you! We took the route to Panzano from Florence, which is a very pretty drive and you can stop in several Castles and Wineries on the way. We stumble upon the Accademia del Buon Gusto by pure luck, the coziness of the place was the main attraction to us. Stefano welcomed us with open arms and we had the most amazing wine tasting experience of our lives, even though we have been to many places already to taste one, this one is on the top. This small place is full of fun things, the art is amazing, the wine superb, the olive oils, the smells, it is just fantastic and what you expect to see on the Chianti region. Hope you enjoy if you get to go

This little shop lot in the little square in Panzano is a gem for those visiting the Chianti region. A trip to Chianti is only truly made complete with an afternoon with Stefano (the owner) walking thru a range of Chianti wines. We tasted a total of probably 15 wines over the course of 2 days + some truffle infused chocolate + dancing with olive oil! A remarkably generous person, Stefano shared both his wines, time and knowledge. His love and passion for his trade shone through no matter the crowd, at all levels... keeping everyone always at ease.

I'd come back to Panzano just to visit this little gem!

Stephano is part entertainer, part educator and part ambassador. We thoroughly enjoyed our time with him and feel we have a friend for life.

We are not beginners to wine and found the experience to be educational but with more entertainment than expected. Newcomers will also benefit as he mixes the discussion in at all levels.

Plan to take your time learn and enjoy.

Found this little 'wine kingdom' accidentally during our honeymoon. I have no words about the experience found here...
The owner Stephano was always smiling even when teaching us or when told winery tales.
The huge collection of wines (exclusively from Chianti region) , limoncino and other gastro stuff is truly amazing.
We are rather a 'beer type' person but Stephano instantly provided a short tasting session which turned our opinion about the wines completely. We are wondered but left the shop with 2 bottle of excellent wines.
This place is a must(!!!) for everyone who comes to Tuscany.

Hint: Ask for the dry red wine + chocolate truffle combination :-)

We visited the Accademia by accident (we were attending the wine festival) and we came across this little shop in the old part of town.
Stephano greeted us upon entry into his business and proceeded to give us a tasting session of the highest order. I will never forget the Olive Oil dance that my wife and daughter in law undertook.
This gentleman is the kindest, most interesting, and unassuming person you will ever meet.
Please visit him, for a wonderful 30 minutes to an hour.
Thank you Stephano, a fantastic guy, and a brilliant memory
