Originally booked into the Miriam apts for 9 nights, we were more than perturbed to find them closed on our arrival 2nd june.We were then transferred to their sister apts in amadores and what can I say.....Tremendous!!! The receptionist was so helpful and although an email had been sent to inform the transfer of the changeover, she was most apologetic for the mix up.We were offered a glass of wine while we checked in and on reaching our apartment found a bottle of water in the fridge...lovely touch. The room was spacious and the kitchen was home from home..microwave,coffee percolator, toaster and we were provided with a kettle too.A large walk in shower and in the bedroom lots of storage in a double wardrobe. There is a Spar outside the apts and the pool area and pool bar were a relaxing place to spend the day.Amadores is a world away from the bustle of Puerto Rico but only 15 mins walk along the clff walkway if you fancy a later night of entertainment.
If you are thinking of visiting Gran Canaria please check the Terraza apts out... its a great place to stay!

Room Tip: if ground floor room ask for a fan ...they are free i think for these rooms.

We have just returned from one of the best holidays ever!!, The highlight and the hotspot for us was the pool bar, all the staff are so friendly and accommodating, from Alvarro with his cheeky grin trying to teach us little bits of Spanish to Alex the new kid on the block who we had many a pleasant conversation with, Julie is 100 miles an hour and could not do enough for you, with a huge smile on her face (Your wee quiz trial run was such a laugh - Thanks Julie) to Tracy who sat down with us the first time we met her and had such a laugh - felt like we had been friends for years!! We hardly left the resort - there was no need, we had all the entertainment we needed 20 feet from our apartment, when we arrived each time it was like going into our local bar. A lovely clean resort, table and chairs and sun loungers on the huge balcony, spar shop directly below below us for anything we needed, walk out the front door of the apartment turn right and there is the lovely pool and sun bathing area - or over to the pool bar for a wee bit shade and a very cheap beer or three - All in all fantastic place to visit - but the pool bar and the other guests we got to know there and of course the pool bar staff made our holiday - only got home this morning and are already planning our trip back there next year!! We arrived at 9:30 at night, hungry and thirsty. The lovely lady behind the bar (Julie) offered to cook us food even though they had just finished their busy weekly BBQ and was just starting to clean up....thank you Julie.

Stayed in room 305 overlooking the road which wasn't a problem at all. Rooms are very clean, the best shower we've ever had on holiday and a large balcony with 4 chairs, table and sun beds.

The pool was lovely, with plenty of beds.

The spar next door is reasonably priced and so handy.

The best thing about this gem of a hotel is the warm welcome you get from all who work at the pool bar!
We ate there a lot tried numerous dishes ( except my son who loved the pizza and choc fudge cake!) and they were all lovely.
Tracy and Mel are so welcoming and very helpful ...and Alvarro is a very hard working , nice young man.

Would definately recommend this hotel and hopefully be returning there next year

Quiet, nice pool lots of space. Terraces large with table chairs and loungers and best rooms overlooking pool/courtyard with rooms on 2nd, 3rd or 4th floor being the better location in my opinion, however, no air con but was not really a problem. Small games room for the kids. WiFi 20E per week one device then 10E extra devices, was able to stream video. Safe 18E week, late checkout 18:00 for 20E. Spar shop on site, bus stops 100 meters, large free car park adjacent. Beach superb 250 metres. 30 minute walk to Puerto Rico along excellent footpath. Transfer time 40 minutes. Will return and many guests were repeat customers.

Room Tip: High room, pool view are quietest.

just got back after a beautiful week in gran c.we saw these appartments last year and so we knew where we were going and we were not disappointed . the rooms are basic but clean and tidy .microwave two rings toasterand plenty of pots n pans the shower in our room was like a jet wash and plenty of hot water .we were on the ground floor on the terrase so we couldn't leave the doors open at night and no air con so it was very sticky .the rooms back on to a very clean and well stocked spar shop so that is everybody larder [on the penultimate day I discovered there CAVA at 2.39 euro a bottle I could av drunk that all week ] .there is a snack bar by pool beer 1.50 a pint and happy hour 3 till 6 on some quiet nice coktails .a well placed hotel just a short walk to the beach but it is on a steppish hill .sadley all inc is killing the resturants so they are just about dragging you in as you pass which can get annoying every night .all in all we would go back and stop there again

Fantastic hotel just short walk from Amadores beach and €4 taxi to Puerto Rico. Staff all very friendly, especially Tracey & Mel at the poolside bar/cafe. Apartments clean and modern - no air con but this is reflected in the star rating of hotel. Very quiet in the evening. No complaints and we will be visiting again.

Have just returned from a lovely holiday in the Terraza Amadores. Fantastic hotel, very clean and all of the staff were lovely! The facilities were brilliant for the children, even had a toy/games room and plenty of buckets and spades, inflatables etc for them to use/ borrow at the pool.

The pool bar was lovely, would particularly recommend the mixed grill - was 12 euros for steak, chicken, burger, sausage, ribs, chips and coleslaw - was huge and freshly cooked to your preference. Curry was also a big hit!

The hotel is a short walk to the beach down a well lit road. Most of the hotels in Amadores are up steep hills. The hotel has also got a Spar attached which is very reasonably priced with very friendly staff.

We went to Aqualand during our stay which was brilliant, the kids loved it (age 3 and 8). We found that it was cheaper to buy your tickets online rather than one of the many sales desks situated around the island.

Puerto Rico is worth a visit, only 20 min walk with a paved footpath. It is a lot more touristy with plenty of shops and restaurants.

We really liked the Ciao Ciao restaurant in Amadores, ice cream was very good (particularly the kinder one) Childrens meals are approx. 4.5 euros and adults approx. 8 euros. Which is pretty standard over there.

Would definitely recommend the hotel/ area to anyone and we will hopefully return again :)

Room Tip: we were in room 308 and 309. Was an excellent location. We were in the side away from the road and h...
