Just had a week here, although paid for a pool view room and ended up looking at a wall - complaining to Thompson as we speak, they couldn't do anything as the hotel was full.

Usual towels on au beds was annoying but go to the pool at 2pm and there's loads of seats free with hours worth of sun in the pool!

Leo the entertainer was fantastic, on the line jokes, got everyone involved and knows everyone's names. He's probably the best thing about the hotel really - went on an unofficial bar crawl with 25 people and Because of him, met loads of people and have made friends for life.

Will be going back, the team there are fantastic, everything well priced and very convenient.

We recently stayed at the Revoli apartments in Puerto Rico, Gran Canaria. The apartments have been refurbished and are really nice. The rooms are clean and well kept, they contain everything you need to stay there. We had a large balcony with a sea view. The shower is one of the biggest I have seen in apartments, again all nice and clean, only downside in the bathroom are the towels, the management need to look at these. You only get towels 3 times a week and that heat it is just not enough, the towels are also paper thin. The pool area is very good, but watch the sun beds some of them are broken and dangerous, the broken beds should have been removed straight away but they weren't . There is a good choice of food available which was very reasonably priced and it was good quality. Happy hour is 3 times a day but if you like a glass of wine you lose out because wine isn't included which I found very strange. The apartments are on a bit of a hill which the old or infirm may find difficult. We just used the taxis up and down because they were efficient and cheap, e2.38 from the beach to the apartments. There is a supermarket on sight, and another one a few minutes walk away up the road with a lot more choice, e1.75 for a large bag of ice. There are 2 large markets where you can pick up a bargain, Tuesday in Arguinaguin, and Friday in Mogan, we used the ferry to get to both, return trip on the ferry is e11.0. Puerto Rico centro is a little outdated and could be improved, the Europa centre at the top of Puerto Rico is still not to bad. We had 2 very large glasses of wine and a sprite for e5.0 , and it was good wine not the cheap rubbish, and of course you get free wifi whilst sipping your wine. Last but not least all the staff at the Revoli are very helpful and friendly.

Room Tip: Depends on your preference, but a sea view is a lot quieter than a pool view

We paid extra for a pool view room and ended up on the 2nd floor level with the road. Large balcony but not the largest of apartments compared to others we've stayed in Puerto Rico. Limited space around the pool and the usual towels out at the crack of dawn to reserve beds. Only saw the management remove them twice during our 2 wk stay. Very noisy at night with the entertainment, some good and some terrible. Good location apart from cardiac hill to climb to get to the reception which is on road level at the top. There is a cash point in reception but never worked the whole time we were there but loads available in the commercial centre in resort. Highly recommend restaurant Mephisto in commercial centre, great value and fabulous food. Worth shopping around supermarket wise but one just further up road from apartment was handy, one in apts had very little stock and was expensive.

Me and my boyfriend stayed here from July 10th for the week.

First impressions when we got the hotel just after 12am, reception staff (and all staff) are really friendly and make you feel welcome.

On arrival into our room, we thought it was fantastic, really clean, modern, big and had all the bits if you wanted to cook.
All the rooms have a massive balcony which is great chill out on. We stayed in room 506 which was on the 5th floor and had a bit of a sea view. I think if we were to stay again we would book a pool and sea view room.

Leo, the entertainer was excellent, best we have had. So down to earth and just generally funny gets the crowd going.

The location is good, you have got the main strip just down the hill (bit of a pain to walk back up - but not overly bad). And there is also a couple of restaurants down by he harbour/ beach too.

The only downside I did have was that the hotel does say strictly not to reserve a sunbed before 10am but everyone does anyway so it can be quite hard to get a sunbed if you want a lay in!
But to be honest those sunbeds were so uncomfortable I found it a lot better to lay on a patch of grass on the side.

Food in the restaurant is actually quite nice, some days better than others. But you can't vary it by going out for dinner.

Drinks at happy hour are so so so good for the money, and the measures of alcohol in drinks are pretty strong hehe.

Overall it is a great family hotel, something for everyone and just a generally nice and chilling holiday. We would come back to that hotel for a holiday, which for us, is something we never say.

Enjoy : - D

Had a great cheap week Whitsun. Rooms had everything you needed. Plenty of room around the pool. Enough going on to keep you entertained both day and night. Leo is great. Balconies are huge and great to use early evening.

Hotel rooms are immaculate , nice cleaners always chatting to you and always given fresh towels, bed clothes. Pool is georgous a good size and well maintained. Entertainment is good there is karaoke bingo kids shows etc. Drinks are fairly priced and food ok. Situated on the hill but not a far walk to the centre. Overall a great holiday enjoyed by all!!

Spotlessly clean and modern apartments, good size room and balcony. The staff are all friendly and helpful. Thompson rep Bianca was excellent and as mentioned by almost everyone Leo the entertainment organiser is great if you like that kind of thing. His poolside activities were very well attended and even the most unfit person could manage his aqua aerobics which seemed to consist mainly of arm waving! Apartments are noisy while the entertainment is on but this ended by 11.30pm each evening so shouldn't keep anyone awake.

Only ate at the apartments once and it was tasty and great value compared to some of the eateries in the resort. The hill that the apartments rest on is manageable and in fact is one of the less steep hills in the area - though definitely not for you if you have any mobility issues. The streets are very slippery - you will notice a lot of people on crutches as you walk around the shopping centres!

Only gave these apartments three stars rather than four as I feel that they massively overcharge for 'extras' that other hotels / apartments of a similar type give for free, ie 35 euro for air conditioning for a week, 5 euro for a tv remote (doesn't work without it) and worst of all 18 euro for wifi - and that is for only for one device. For a family of 4 to have to pay 72 euro for wifi for one week is ridiculous! Also the shower room provided for anyone with a late checkout was very poor. It's a tiny shower / toilet and each room are only given half an hour in total to use it - while I appreciate that they are a very busy building (especially on Saturday when almost everyone seems to arrive / depart) this is not enough for any more than two people (moving very quickly!) You couldn't swing a cat in the room, no towels are provided and as it is being used by so many people it wasn't particularly clean. An annoying end to what was overall a great stay!
