Hotel is 2 to 3 star level. Situated near the top of a valley that overlooks Peurto Rico beach and harbour. The apartments are on several levels (appx 8 to 10) with several lifts serving them. Our apartment had a lounge area with sofa, chair, sideboard and kitchen at one end. Separate balcony, bedroom and bathroom off of a short hallway. Basic hob, microwave, toaster and kettle supplied. The TV received the basic BBC, ITV and C4 channels at an extra cost of 20 euro for 2 weeks. We stayed self catering, but there is a restaurant and half board is available for an extra 10 euro per day. We did try the breakfast and evening meal buffet and they were OK for 10 euros. Rooms were cleaned every day. Sheets changed once or twice per week. Staff polite, Everywhere regularly cleaned. We quite liked it and would stay again, in fact we have been here 2 or 3 times before. We always stay in UK winter period so cant comment on the summer period. There is no air conditioning in the rooms, but that's not a problem October to May anyway. Because its multi level this is perhaps not the best choice for disabled, wheel chair bound people – but there are ramps and lifts everywhere so it would not be impossible. The nearby shops and restaurants have a good choice of eating places and entertainment every night at the Barbacoa. Two pools at the hotel but if you want the beach its a 15 minute downhill walk and a 3 euro taxi fare back up the hill, or a 1 euro per person bus ride. The guests were all ages and we heard no complaints or grumbles. Free internet WiFi at reception. Only annoying thing was the click-clack noise the maids trolleys makes on the paths outside the rooms early morning.

Room Tip: Ask for the 4th or 5th level if you wish to be near to the exit, shop and reception, the pool is on...

Went last month and stayed with my husband in Colina Mar for a weeks holiday. Fantastic place very value for money i consider it should have more star rating than what it has, apts very clean and im picky as i work in the hotel industry for some time. We went on a self catering package which worked good for us how every most nights we ate in their restaurant and the food was very good. I think if i went back there i might go as all inclu.. location fantastic every apt has a fanastic view could not be better, you can see all the resort at the bottom and the beach and hills... housekeepers cleaned the room every 2 days which was great. Only thing is if you dont rent a car, there is a bit of a walk up and down from the hotel to the beach how ever you will get a nice tan, I think we were the yongest couple staying there maybe because of the month we went (November) however maybe better as it was nice and quiet at night. Great place go ......

Room Tip: Higher floor better view :)

The staff here are fantastic! The rooms, food, restaurant, views and overall complex are pretty great also! We stayed on 4th floor and had an amazing view of Puerto Rico beach from the balcony. We stayed in a 4 bed, but only 1 bedroom with 2 single beds, and the other 2 were in the living room/kitchen area using the sofa and under-bed matress. Although an initial surprise, it was extremley comfortable and not at all inconveniant.
The reception staff were always a great help, giving advice on where to go & how to get there. The restaurant staff were also very attentive. Free wi-fi access in the reception area and also internet access via computers at only 50 euros for 10 minutes. An on-site shop with a wide selection of foodstuffs and gifts at extremley reasonable prices! Plenty of pool tables to keep you busy also.
The drinks at the bar are at a good price, especially if all inclusive! The food at the restaurant was always really nice, and although we were vegetarian which did limit our options, there were plenty of fish, potato and salads to make do!
i would definitely recommend this hotel as we were all pleasantly surprised with how good it was! It is at the top of one of the cliffs in Puerto Rico, but is still a largely tourist area. The Europa Centre is 2 minutes walk away, which has various shops/karaoke bars. The hotel is conveniently located so that the sun shines directly onto it, as some other apartment complexes behond us would have been in the shade!
The main Puerto Rico centre is a short taxi drive away- only 3 or 4 euros here or to Amadores beach- we went every day! The views at this height totally make up for the journey up and down!

Room Tip: sea view!!

Didnt know what to expect after reading previous reviews but was pleasantly surprised! Apartments very clean and cleaners attended 5/7 days and left clean towels etc. Plenty of equipment for self-catering - microwave, kettle, coffee maker, utensils etc. Fan provided in room. Had a room in 4th floor as requested, some noise from the bar but not too late, may be noisier in summer months. Staff really helpful and attentive to needs especially with us having an 8 month old baby. Pools clean and plenty of loungers. Small pool was our choice as a lot more chilled out. Good location - close to Europa centre and a 30 min walk downhill to both Puerto Rico and Amadores beaches. Will need a taxi back up though (around 3 euros)!!! Would stay here again!!!!!

Room Tip: We stayed 4th floor (rm 425) which is where minimarket is based and 1 floor down from reception by l...

We have just come back from a weeks self catering in the Colina Mar Apartments they were very clean and the staff were very friendly, the lay out of the complex was confusing when we first arrived but after a day we got used to it only fault would be if the lifts went out of order we would have struggled with the steps.

The view was lovely and for a cheap week would stay there again.

Room Tip: we asked for a quite room it was a bit out of the way having to use 2 lifts but we had no noise at n...

Just bcak from a week at Colina Mar, it represents excellent value for money. The apartments are large, clean, and have great views over the town.
The kitchen area is very well stocked, with twin hob, fridge/ freezer, toaster, plates, cutlery etc
Bedroom has 2 beds, quite firm but perfectly adequate. There was a wardrobe, chest of drawers and bedside table.
Everything is very clean and the maid service is good and towels/ sheets changed throughout our stay.
There is a store onsite on level 4 which is convenient and well priced, although the Europa shopping centre is not far away.
Pools are clean although not very warm.
There's free wifi in the reception area.
We would return again to these apartments.

Went here on a last minute deal read the reviews was a bit apprehensive but found my self pleasantly surprised yes the apartment were basic but they were clean and cleaned very well by the staff .

There are two pool areas one which had a load of activities the sun loungers were all taken every day but the second pool did not have as many people and loads of sun loungers with a good pool side bar ,

It was a long walk from the apartments to the center of the town but the the bus that stops at the euopa center only costs 90 cent and takes a bout 10 minuets it finishes at 11:30 at night but you can get a taxi for €3.50

There are a number of good places to eat in the Europa center and an excellent Italian restaurant across the road.

Try the Irish Pub in the center good spot for music at night.

If you take that hotel is at the top of the hill it is general a good spot the staff are very good and you get the sun all day due to the height you are at .

If you book a room try and stay away form the area above the main pool if you want to be asleep before 12 midnight stay away from these rooms .

This is not a bad spot.

Room Tip: dont book above the main pool
