We have just returned from a great week in Colina Mar.
We have been going to Puerto Rico for over 20 years for a winter break, mainly for the weather not the resort.
The Colina Mar is one of the best apartments we have stayed in. It has recently been refurbished so rooms are nice and fresh. It was kept very clean by the hard working pleasant staff.
We were only self catering so can't comment on the food. The people we spoke to who were All Inclusive were very happy with it.
We enjoy going out to our favourite restaurants for a meal then for a drink in a nice bar.
If you stay around The Europa Centre area a lovely new bar has opened at the far end called Maxi Chill out bar. Prices very reasonable and friendly staff. I hope they are busy and stay open as a lot of the bars and restaurants have closed down.
We will return to Colina Mar for a winter sunshine break again without hesitation.

Room Tip: Ask for high floor room to be near reception and shop.

We stayed here for a week room only and concur with the recent reviews here about the rooms and the hotel and really enjoyed our stay. We didn't eat in the hotel so can't comment on the food there. But there is some nice places to eat in the shopping center across the road which we found were better value than the one down the hill. The only problem I had was the bed was so hard and my partner did come across some small ants on the Kitchen work top. Yes it is high up on a hill but the views are beautiful. We enjoy running and the hill home really tested out stamina! If you seen two mad people trying to run up it last week it was probably us.

Just returned after having spent a great week in this hotel. It has had a total revamp and is now so modern and welcoming. We were on a room only basis, but had several meals in the hotel which were excellent. Staff were very pleasant and helpful. It is located at the very top of the hill which suited us as we enjoyed the walk down to the beach every morning, but have to admit that we never relished the walk back up, so on most occasions used taxis costing around 4 Euros which is very reasonable. The view from our balcony was awesome. We will definitely return.... highly recommended.

Room Tip: Choose a room on the second or third floors for fantastic views.

Almost got lost looking for my apartment! Up high on the hill , if you go down to the beach or center make sure you have everything, so you don't have to go back, those stairs are gym in itself! great place for the price. Great experience .

Just got back after a one week stay at this popular hotel, the rooms have been updated, at last, and now the hotel feels warm and friendly again! We stayed on self catering basis but ate at the poolside on a couple of occasions and the food was top rate. The staff work tirelessly to ensure everyone is happy. The rooms are spacious, cleaned 4 times in the week with clean towels every other day.
We have stayed here a number of times in the past 11yrs we have been to Puerto Rico and all in all the hotel never disappoints.! Will definitely be returning.

We stayed 7nights half board, the food was fine with enough choice to make a good meal every night, breakfast was good, full english (proper sausages), bread, fruit, cereal. Staff were friendly and helpful. Lunch was much cheaper than down in Puerto Rico. The rooms are modern and clean all with great views, the only downside was that the rooms are cleaned 3 times per week, but we went 4 days without new towels then had them changed every day for the last three days. Beautiful flowers all around the hotel and views of the town are amazing! There are lots of sun beds and two big pools. The hotel is on a steep hill meaning you need to get a taxi back up which is around €3, we'd definitely go back!
