I was in Rio Piedras last year in june.We had this appartement it was really simple but very clean, spacious and every thing you need.

The best thing was our balcony it was enormous, and we had a view that was fantastic.

Only one minute walking to the beach,PERFECT.

I would recommend this place to everyone.

The staff was extremely friendly swell.

We paid 48e per night but that was during the low season.

That was one of the best hotel experience I had

I have just returned from a week in Rio Piedras, they are in an excellent location, just a few minutes away from the beach. As our room was on the bottom level it was a bit of a treck to the pool which is situated on the roof, though making them nearer the beach and the supermarket nearby when you are leaving, no steps to go down! We had to climb up over 100 steps to the pool, but if you were not fit to do this there are lifts available. You have to take 2 to get up and they were on the other side of reception from our apartment so it was quicker to climb the steps. The pool area is nice with plenty of sunbeds available at all times and a lovely view. There is also a nice restaurant there with a happy hour every evening. The staff on reception were friendly and helpful. The rooms were fairly plain and basic though you had all you needed, with a good size balcony. There is a supermarket just a couple of minutes up to the left, it had nice fresh bread and another Spar across the road on the seafront. The only fault I have is that there is no air conditioning and I found it hard to sleep, there is an upright fan but I didn't find this helped much. I would recommend these apartments, their location is hard to beat. One word of warning about Puerto Rico, the time share touts on the seafront lie to you and say they are from the tourist board in order to try and sell you a time share.

Stayed there for 2 nights only, reception staff very friendly, location is perfect - close to all amenities, very clean and quiet. Only minus - no air conditioning, sleep was impossible. Fan in the living room wouldn't make much difference. Booked for 3 adults, sofa bed for 3rd person was very uncomfortable. Other than that great place, would stay there again :)

just come back from 2 weeks at Rio Piedras and I think I can safely say it will not be our last visit. Previous reviews have mentioned the great location and friendly staff which I totally agree with. I booked this direct with the apartments and everything went smoothly, we were greeted with a friendly face despite being over an hour late courtesy of Jet2.com. I had requested a 2 bed roomed apartment with a sea view and large terrace and we definitely got that. The terrace was huge, with a large table and chairs for al fresco dining, 5 sun loungers that meant we could all sun bathe on the terrace quite comfortably without being on top of each other from 9.00 in the morning until after 7 in the evening. The maids clean every day except Sundays and Tuesdays - very friendly and efficient they even make the beds which I do not expect whilst self catering. The views were fantastic over the beach and marina and only 2 mins level walk away. Enough facilities in the kitchen meant we could give the commercial centre a miss for a few nights and cook our own food - you will find the menus are all very similar, but Planet Steakhouse was very good for tasty food, good value and friendly staff. Stay away from El Toro - burnt lasagna, cold vegetables and very undercooked steak - and San Miguel is over rated. The restaurants on the beach made a pleasant change and were not too overpriced especially as they offer a free bottle of house wine (which we found in the local dino supermarket for just under 3 Euros and was very nice). The only down side to the apartments is the swimming pool which is on the small size, but then most in this area are, and that has a chemical in it that stains your swim wear. All in all a fantastic, relaxing holiday definitely recommended.

We have stayed here at least 6 times, all at different times of the year, our last trip was 7th May, and it was as always, just great! I don't agree with with the last review about the cleaners, they work very hard and always leave the place spotless! The staff have always been so friendly and helpfull. Rooftop pool has great views and a great restaurant & bar! Stay here and you will not be dissapointed.

Stayed here last week and it was 30 degrees!
Pros: Great Location, Close to beach, Marina, Playa amadoras, main shopping and dining area. roof top pool area.

Cons: Basic rooms, Basic furniture, I would say the cleaners of this hotel are the poorest i have come across, they came most days but barely swept the floor or made the bed.

But for the price we paid it was good value, if they improved the apartments and the cleaners it would be very good. i would stay here again but only because of the location. you arre literally only 5 mins walk from everything,

Room Tip: High sea view room

This apartment complex is completely undervalued. It's location just can not be beaten, away from the heat of the resort but just a few moments walking and you can be right on the beach, with their great bars and restaurants.....try to visit the Harbour Lights, the views across the beach and out to sea just can't be missed and worth an afternoon watching the ferries, boats and the antics of the guys selling the holiday time shares along its front. Food, if you want a taste of home, is very highly recommended and priced honestly. Back to the Rio Piedras........The staff are just fantastic, nothing is too much trouble. Our apartment was huge and with a balcony to match, just couldn't fault it in any way. Cleaning was five days out of the seven and towels and beds were changed every three days. The pool is situated on the roof, and its stunning with plenty of beds and parasols. The restaurant serve excellent food, some international as well as local. There is a Dino supermarket just under the complex, their prices are just as cheap if not cheaper than the larger stores in the area, they open at 7.30 in the morning for newspapers and fresh baked bread and close about 11.00 at night. The tapas bar next door is also excellent as was Colors the hair stylist where my husband got a great scissor cut with all the trimmings for €15.
Speaking to some of the other guests we found out that most were returning twice and three times a year, this comes as no surprise going on the level of customer service. We would definitely stay again. A brilliant find and once you have stayed there you are bound to return.

Room Tip: Try to get a room overlooking the beach.......stunning views at night.
