“Fantastic holiday”
Reviewed 27 February 2012

My husband and i came here in August 2011 and had a fantastic time! The hotel will suit families however it was just the two of us that came and we enjoyed it.
Our room was like an apartment and was fantastic, very spacious! There was a safe provided which required a cash deposit for.
The hotel was clean and the staff were friendly and alwaya there for your assistance.
The location was on top of a steep hill, which we didnt mind as are quite active anyway but would not be good for people will poor mobility.
The food which was buffet was repeatitive and was not fantatic but filled a hole!
The drink was unlimited for all inclusive and was a self service! No one took advantage of this either! The bar clsed at 12pm which is quite early but not too bad!
The area is lovely and we will deinately be returning but perhaps stay in another hotel as we dont have children!

We holidayed here for one week at the beginning of February. Having read numerous reviews prior to leaving, wasn't sure exactly what to expect?! Well I can say we had a fantastic week! The rooms were spotlessly clean and despite us being All Inclusive, there was everything needed in room if you just fancied a night in with takeaway and drinks. The staff were generally very polite and helpful. Hotel facilities were fine and the pool area was very well laid out. The food was adequate without being outstanding but remember this a 3* not 5* so if u want a la carte standard dig deeper into ur pockets and pay for it - the number of reviews knocking the food are unnecessary and pedantic! Decent choice of food! The self serve bar is legendary and not once did we see people going OTT with this! Perhaps the entertainment could be better but it was out of season?! The beach is a 2 minute taxi drive for 2 euros and Puerto Rico is 5 mins for 3-4 euros. Boat taxi to Puerto Mogan really worth a day out! If you don't use taxis expect gruelling walks though!! Anyway we are going back in September, and we've never returned to same place twice so that says alot!! Also the Europa Centre about 1km away (2-3 euro taxi) is well worth it and if you do go have a drink at The Blarney Stone, a cracking Irish bar!! Hope some of you find this helpful, enjoy and have good holiday :)

This holiday was very nice, the view over the hotel walls were amazing. The place is small and quiet which makes it such a lovely holiday. The weather there is great too. The beach is about a 5-10 minute drive by taxi, i would not recommend walking it, because although its not far, its all on a hill and the weather like i said was very hot. The food there was a bit repetitive but not bad still. The rooms are nice and roomy, however the air conditioning was rubbish, it was just them fans that spin round on the ceiling, all it seemed to be doing was moving the hot air around the room. Also, most of the nights there was no entertainment provided, and also no main kids club for the children, however the staff were very nice and a good old game of bingo in the afternoon was great.

I travelled with the girls to this hotel. The enterainment - Andriana is amazing. The staff are very friendly and the food is okay, very average. The hotel itself is in a brilliant location and is so clean. Our room was brilliant, very spacious with a good sized kitchen and bathroom. I would definately stay at this hotel again although it is full of families with young children. Would be nice to have a bit of music playing whilst your sunbathing, but no biggy. Never had a sleepless night apart from when I had one to many. Yeah this hotel is an overall brilliant hotel, friendly towards groups, families, couples - basically suits everyone.

Close to the Europa centre up the top or a short taxi ride to Puerto Rico. Lovely walk from this hotel during the day to the Amadorres beach and into Puerto Rico for some cheap shopping.

Room Tip: All the rooms are brilliant!

I stayed here 1 week in August-11 and was pleasantly surprised at the overall look of the hotel from outside; it felt nice, well kept and modern. The rooms however, were a little dated, with unbecoming red & orange colours that gave me a 90's feel. I arrived to find my balcony door handle broken, but this was fixed within 20 minutes after I told the receptionist, so well done. I always found the staff very friendly, although some of them were not english speakers.

My balcony overlooked the pool area & the bay, and was situated almost at the very top, so I had sun until it set; the view was breathtaking. The entertainment never bothered me, as it was usually finished by midnight, it is not nearly a loud as some say. Pool area: Spacious, but the pool itself was mainly occupied by kids, with no place left for adults, as it was somewhat small. Food: Plenty of it, both local, asian and full english breakfast. It was somwhat bland to my tastes, a lot of seasoning helped a little, but steak night really stood out in a good way, highly recommended. Not the best place to stay if you dislike walking uphill. It's a long climb up from the beach, but taxis are plentiful and cheap. The hotel staff ordered taxis for others, personally I walked off some calories from my all inclusive stay this way, so the hills are good for something;-)

Visited this hotel for my Stag Doo.
Found reception to be quick and easy to check-in, however we checked in at night and the night porter on reception doesnt speak very good english at all.

Rooms were of decent size and of usual build quality, nice comfortable furnishings with a pay per view TV in. Kitchen was again of usual standards, Cooker, Fridge, etc ....

The Walls between the living room and the bedroom didnt quite go all the way upto the ceilings so privacy in the bedroom is not ideal. The bathroom was clean and tidy and had a shower cubicle instead of a bath. Some hotel soaps were provided and towels.

The balcany is full length of the apartment from bedroom to livingroom and has 2 doors to enter / exit. One in the bedroom the other in the living room. The views are amazing from the balcany over looking the ocean and beach.

The staff at the hotel during the day spoke reasonable english and the rep was there everyday. They had a clothes show and sunscreen rep visit daily also. The pool was cold but clean and had no scummy residue around the outside tiles. The food wasnt great sometimes it was cold and the choice wasnt massive either. Breakfast was the same each day with the usual Sausages, Eggs, Bacon, Waffles, Toast machine, and various cerials.

Hotel entertainment at night was probably 3 out of 5 in scores. Okay but not memorable! Karaoke most nights also with the usual guests banging out some awful tunes!!!!

The all inclusive is great ..... when it comes to drinks.... You can have as much as you want literally as you pour your own drinks. The bottles of spirits are left at the bar and the lager pump is facing out towards you to pour your own. Have as much Wine, red, white, rose as you like. Empty bottles are quickly replaced.

The hotel is at the top of a big hill, there are taxis which will take you to the beach for 4 or 5 euros each way. The main area in Puerto Rico called the commecial centre will set you back about 12 euros return. Not bad if there are 4 of you in the taxi. Food is expensive outside the hotel so its a good idea to drink and eat before you go down to save money.

The big question is would I return to this hotel. ..... The answer is Yes definatly, Ive been regularly coming to the same resort for years at the same Self Catering Hotel and this is defo the better option for me. Im 36 and have a family of teenagers incase your wondering if its an 18-30s destination. As i didnt have my children with me im not sure about kids clubs etc ...

Hope thiis is useful information for you. Enjoy your holidays.

Room Tip: All rooms are sea view
