We stayed for the first week of August and had an amazing time. The hotel is only ten minutes away from the airport, so there was very little transfer time both ways and you were barely aware of the very occasional planes flying overhead. The room was beautiful, spacious and with really good air conditioning, which we needed as it was about 32 degrees every day. There were so many pools that it never felt overcrowded and, even though the hotel was at full capacity, there were always sunbeds available. If we were ever struggling to find four together, the poolside staff would go off and track down single ones and place them together for us with a smile. The whole place was immaculately clean and any small problems noticed and sorted out straight away. We weren't sure if we would like having buffet style meals every day, but the food was so varied and beautifully presented that we enjoyed every meal. The desserts are to die for and presented in small portions so that you could, and we did, have three or four different ones without feeling like you were overdoing it! The dining rooms are set out as four or five circular rooms so it always felt relatively uncrowded and there is an adults only dining room and pool for those who prefer to dine and sunbathe away from children. As part of the all-inclusive package, drinks were free all day and until 11pm. Unlike some other hotels, this package included many branded drinks, including Pepsi, Bacardi, Jim Beam etc. The cocktails (free) were amazing, not at all watered down and they had a selection of non-alcoholic cocktails available all day, too. The evening entertainment was brilliant - we weren't sure what our 14 year old son would make of a Barry White tribute act, but he was fantastic, really worked the crowd and my son had a great time! We felt that the evening entertainment was totally appropriate for the standard of hotel. My sons are 14 and 24 and so we were keen to go to a resort that had plenty to do on site so my husband and I could have some time by the pool and it also needed to be close enough to other activities we could do together as a family and this resort fitted the bill. There were many activities available on site, including segway tours, wall climbing, kayaking, beach volleyball, football, table tennis, pool, table football and rifle shooting and even a playstation! We asked at reception if there was scuba diving anywhere nearby and they organised this for us (cheaper than if we had gone to Playa de las Americas!) and we were able to swim up to and tickle turtles! There is a free coach to the centre of Playa de las Americas (about 20 minutes away) twice a day, so we were able to spend a day on the beach, where we took part in wakeboarding, jet skiing and parascending. We wanted to hire a car to take a trip to the amazing water park at Siam Park and the hotel arranged this all for us, having it delivered and collected on our behalf at a very reasonable cost. We felt completely spoiled for the whole week and would wholeheartedly recommend this hotel to families looking for a fantastic holiday.

Room Tip: All of the ground floor rooms are close to a pool and higher floors have the best view.

We stayed a week here at the beginning of August. We were worried that it was peak holiday season (not a lot one can do with kids) but it didn't affect the service of the hotel at all. Fantastic facilities, impeccable service, great variety of food and didn't have to wait for anything.

We stayed in a Junior suite and the room was great with a seperate shower room for the kids and two balconies - one with sun loungers (and private) which we loved! The room and hotel in general is well designed. It is a bit of a maze at first until you get used to the layout but you soon learn all the shortcuts.

If I have to critisize anything it would be the wifi which was a bit patchy and that it isn't within walking distance of a lot although there is a shopping arcade and restaurants bars within a 10 min walk but is a little tricky with a buggy in tow.

There is a selection of swimming pools, 2 heated and an adults only pool. Didn't have much trouble in finding loungers.

Service is absolutely fantastic. Nothing was too much trouble. Staff were all great and always had a smile on their face.

Will certainly be visiting again.

Stayed for 6 nights from 2 August as a family of 4 (2 adults 2 girls 11 & 9). We paid for a Junior Suite and this was fantastic as the girls had their own bedroom with separate bathroom and patio area which allowed us to relax in the room. The food was lovely and there was lots of choice including a pasta bar (cooked to order) that my daughters loved. During the day different activities are available, including a small climbing wall perfect for kids up to 16ish and a small lake for kayaking.
Staff within the restaurant and bars were lovely and great with the kids. Staff on reception slightly less gracious. One evening a blade came off the ceiling fan in our bedroom whilst it was switched on!! Husband took to reception to explain our shock. The fan was fixed within the hour but husband received no apology (not even a sorry on point of complaint) or acknowledgement of danger.
A good selection of pools. There is a split between salt and chlorine pools and we definitely preferred the chlorine ones. There is a constant breeze at this hotel which frustrated some people but we found to be fantastic!

At the risk of repeating what others have said, this place is great.
Quality food & drink, friendly staff and you could not find a cleaner hotel.
A few improvements possible:
502 is NOT a sea view, we were moved quickly but I think we arrived at the right time!
Breakfast can be a bit chaotic... Can I suggest separating the coffee & juice machines to reduce the queue?
Kids club was fine, but might be better being shorter, with three hours to fill I think they sometimes ran out of things to do!
But I think those things are nit picking!
We had a wonderful stay. Anna in the restaurant deserves an extra special thank you for working her socks off to give everyone a very special welcome.

This is our second visit to this hotel, we were a little nervous about booking it due to having food issues last time! However it has definitely improved. The food was a lot better, more of a selection and my husband enjoyed the freshly carved meats on offer. Myself being a vegetarian I found the fresh pizza and pasta stand my best friend! The puddings were great, especially the choc mousse! My 3 yr old found something to eat every day so that's a mission by its self!! Oh and more cheese on offer! But please bring Brie and Stilton to the evening pudding aisle!!! Fresh orange juice is now provided!!! Thank you for listening :0) the blonde girl on reception was lovely and so was the guy with the glasses who was a favourite from last year!

Now on to the room, we upgraded to a suite, which was just as good as last time- 2 wardrobes, 2 baths, 1 big shower, sofa bed made up for my daughter in the lounge, so we made our bedroom the lounge and closed her doors! Day bed on our balcony, chairs on the other one. The only issue we had was we were put right at the front over looking the restaurant and entertainment! Unfortunately having a toddler who was exhausted most nights, we found it was VERY loud music until 11pm. I had to put white noise on my phone every night to try to drown it out until my daughter fell asleep! If we hadn't of unpacked everything we would of 100% asked to be moved. Towards the end of the 10 days it was becoming a real issue to us. However if you have older children or if you are adults then this spot is great as its very central! What didn't help was on our last night we were flying fairly early so we wanted an early night and by 2pm the music was still blaring so I called reception who said the entertainment team had left, and it must be from another room! I told him it was 100% still on downstairs as I was opposite it! 5 mins later it was off! Someone had left it on by mistake!

Still no drinks in the mini bar! I had really hoped being a 5* they would of joined the other 5* hotels by providing some. Bottled water is provided but you have to ask for it at the bars. We didn't really use the bars much as we used to still have a bottle of Rioja at dinner - however when I did have to go to the bar for it it was served cold and it tasted completely diffrent!! Red wine is revolting cold! A nice waiter took pity on me and filled my glass from the dinner service!

Pools- we spent most of our time in the main "heated" pool and the babies pool. There idea of heated and ours are different, but once your in, you get used to it! But chilly with the wind when you get out! Be prepared with a towel if you have little ones! We had no issues getting 3 sun beds in the same place every day! But then again having a toddler we were up at the pool by 8.30 everyday! We did see a few people reserving beds in this time but I think with the amount of sun beds and pools around, I didn't see it being a problem, plus we got to know our "regulars" round our beds! Not sure if everyone realised there are adult only pools as quite a few older people trying to swim in the chaos of the kids pool!
Entertainment- we only stayed down for the Mini disco which was 8pm- 8.50pm Christina is an absolute legend! My daughter Maya adored her and we have many photos and videos of them together! My daughter was the one who got up on stage to count to 10 in Italian and sang twinkle twinkle instead!!! She absolutely loved the disco!
Childrens club is only for kids over 4 years of age.
Play park was ok, although not to English safety standards! My daughter managed to open a door that lead to the electricity meters etc! (Acess is actually through the playpark!) And it is a steep drop down concrete stairs! Lucky I noticed and slammed it shut- it then locked so I'm guessing it was accidentally left adjar!

Area- only a short drive from airport- we got the hotel to arrange our transfers! Cheaper and very efficient! Thank you. I liked the planes going overhead so didn't worry us! Not much to do walking wise, but we did go to the square where they have a supermarket, bars & a few restaurants.
Beach is rubbish. All pebbly and way to rough to bathe in! Although we had fun skimming stones!

There seemed to be Ants everywhere! I was forever throwing water over them as they constantly crawl up our legs!!!

Sand area was fun - play ball or build sandcastles in! We had fun Lizzard hunting again this year- loads by the boating pond! Oh and thank you for introducing Napolean the pony to my 3 year old! After 2 rides she's now obsessed with them!

If you have any questions feel free to ask! :0)

I wanted to give this hotel a 4.5*

Room Tip: Avoid opposite the restaurant and entertainment if you have very young children as its very loud in...

We're 10 days into our fortnight. In summary, lovely hotel and good food but hotel lacks some elements of a 5 star break. Complimentary towels are thin and bathroom cleanliness could be better (floor not mopped for 2 days so far). One of the attractions for our teenage children was the advertised animation programme for teenagers but this is poor - often running late when it did run, the teenage programme cancelled for 2 days apparently due to too few teenagers in the hotel (we actually organised our own teenage water polo game yesterday and today, I've already seen a few teenagers wandering around looking for something to do), very little engagement from all but one of the animation team and the animation manager never to be seen.

Sunbed police are out in force in mornings and lunchtime to prevent beds being reserved. This can be annoying if you sunbathe early and go to breakfast only to find your towels and belongings folded on a table, especially as other sunbeds are not being used. There is a 30 minute rule but doesn't work at lunchtimes or if you do an activity.

On site beauty spa seems amateurish. We booked an eyebrow wax two days in advance for 11am but was told it couldn't go ahead as wax wasn't warm and to return at 1.30. We didn't bother, all seemed unprofessional.

Evening entertainment is ok but often engaging only for the first 15 minutes at which point you often see people get up to leave.

Food is good quality but predictable. Show cooking is basic. Drinks by waiter service is a nice touch but can be slow and some waiters have better memories than others.

Like other reviews, I can see why this gets good reviews but if you have experienced 5 star or good 4 star hotels before, you will find areas that could easily be changed to make this hotel an unforgettable experience.

Room Tip: Ocean view is best but all rooms are good. Overlooking boating lake is peaceful
