“surprise”
Reviewed 26 June 2013

We were pleasantly surprised with the quality of the food. Cozy courtyard and friendly staff. Lots of choice on the menu and especially the appetizers are very tasty. We have eaten here twice and one evening just ordered some appetizers so we had our own tapas meal. Were all very tasteful. Highly recommended

“exceptionally good food and authentic atmostphere”
Reviewed 4 April 2013

This is not a restaurant you will find by accident, though it is on the main road through the village, it is not obtrusively signed. It does not need to be as it was filled with locals and visitors by middle evening.
It is an old building with a congenial atmostphere and friendly staff -little English is spoken. There is an extensive menu and each member of our party found their food exceptional : goat meat casserole, pork steak, veal stuffed with pate in a mushroom sauce, this is not a good enough description to cover food worth travelling some way for. Even the starter of garlic bread was absolutly delicious, light with a crisp crust and a generous helping of fresh green garlic.
The prices were very moderate for food of such quality and the house wine good too.

“Delicious and Authentic”
Reviewed 29 March 2013

A really nice restaurant that we searched out on the basis of a personal recommendation, well worth the short trip inland to San Miguel.

Delicious meals made by a talented chef. Real food, and no sign of the ubiquitous paella (not that there's anything wrong with a good paella, just it's nice to have something a bit more original!).

Most main dishes are under €10, the most expensive (fillet steak) is €15, which is an absolute steal for food of this quality. However, vegetables and potatoes are not included in most meals and cost extra (pork and beef steaks include chips).

We found parking on the street very close by, but there aren't many spaces, so I can't guarantee you'd be so lucky...

We arrived at 7:45 and found a table easily, but by 8:30 it was full, and it's not a big place, so booking might be a good idea.

Menus in different languages are available, but the waiters spoke only Spanish. They were friendly, charming and polite.

“Freshly cooked food to order in friendly restaurant”
Reviewed 13 March 2013

We stayed at the Hotel Cuatro Esquinas and ate in the restaurant on 3 occasions. The owners were charming, the restaurant warm and friendly and the food excellent. Worth trying the local red wine!

“So good we went twice!”
Reviewed 25 February 2013

Very nice and friendly family run restaurant. Good menu, something to please everyone, and a bit of fun from the owner in his attempts to get the customers to try ordering in Spanish.
