Have just spent four days at the Hotel LLevant. Very impressed. The location was fabulous - right on the seafront of a little but very stylish resort. We had a superior double room with large terrace overlooking the sea - well worth the extra. Also had half board which was excellent value - good food made from fresh ingredients. Good service and selection of wine too. Hotel a family hotel (see other trip advisor reviews) which showed in the care they took of their guests and also the people who were their regulars in the bar. Went in the low season - think probably in the high season LLafranc may become full of the moneyed set from Girona and Barcelona - the place is very small really and I imagine it could get very crowded. The bedrooms were a little bit shabby but this was not a big issue at all - the atmosphere, views and general ambience made up for it all. It's definitely worth taking time to walk using the round coastal walks through Calella de Palafrugell to the botanic gardens at Cap Roig and the other way to the lighthouse. Would definitely recommend this and will be back!!

Lovely, unspoiled resort, not too twee and no high-rise. Stayed at Llevant for a week (not enough). This hotel has a long history and people been coming back for years, yet the hotel has a modern edge to it. Food is generally exceptional, linen napkins and silver service and great value. The owner/chef is committed to local produce and recipes. Rooms are spotless and ours on the top floor had a large balcony looking over the sea, worth the extra expense. Charming owners and v.v. friendly staff. Local wine at 8 euro in the restaurant and fab cafe terrace practically on beach. TV does have some English speaking channels AND they give you a beach towel every day, previous reviewer is wrong. I can't fault this place, it's a real find and super gin Martinis too!

Stayed at the Llevant for one night as part of a walking holiday. Unfortunately, we chose a week when the whole beach was off-limits as the nautical club were restructuring the sand to make the harbour calmer. I was told this happens each year at some time or other. I can vouch for the friendliness of the staff, and we enjoyed the one meal we had in the restaurant (we did not go a la carte). The bar also seemed to be a haven for a number of locals early evening which made for a very convivial atmosphere. My only complaint would be that we had a room on the first floor at the side of the hotel. This was exceptionally clean, but a little small and only offered a view of the side street.

Very friendy staff. Good restaurant. Very pleasant room right on the sea front. But watch out for the credit card payment where they want you to pay in your own currency with a 3% surcharge. If you opt to pay in Euros it will probably save you most or all of the surcharge.

Visited in May and feel that it was a totally different hotel from the one reviewed on 28th July! We loved the clean, light and airy rooms, with terraces overlooking the beach. The restaurant we found to be good, we ordered a la carte and were not charged extra, also we were not charged for parking, I had ordered it but it was not needed in May. The staff were chatty and friendly, they took us up to see their new rooms. Lunch and breakfast were good, it is a beautiful, quiet, peaceful resort in May, with a lot of good places to visit nearby and a gentle heat.
I feel it is good value for half- board and proximity to the sea, particularly at Mid-Season prices, we met many people there who go back each year and we shall be back next year, it just shows that we are all different and that reading reviews is not always useful - maybe in High Season the other reviewers struck an "off" week.
