I stayed 4 nights on beautiful Buyukada Island at the Ascot Hotel. This little hotel in the centre of Adalar may only have 20 rooms or so, but is well equipped and provides good service. The staff are very friendly and helpful.
I was attending a business conference at the hotel, and the meeting room at the back of the hotel (between the rooms and the pool) was spacious and well air-conditioned, fighting outside temperatures of 33C+ with ease. Food served on the terrace restaurant is tasty and the portions are generous, with a number of vegetarian options.
My room (303) looked out over the square and had a large balcony with table and 4 chairs. With only horses and carriages clip-clopping by, it was a very nice place to sit in an evening. The shower is strong, the water hot, and the air-con cold.
The pool is quite small, but there are plenty of sunbeds around it and enough space for a splash or even a few laps. The pool bar also provides cooling drinks to keep you going.More
