Our room was facing to the square of Buyukada. The view was nice from the balcony in the evening. I guess, the other side of the hotel which is facing to the sea view is much better. The building has a nice historical appearance. The staff was nice and kind. The breakfast had enough variety and the location of the hotel is perfect.

We took the ferry from Kabatas and decided to hop off on Buyukada. We walked straight into this hotel from the ferry. They had availability for a decent rate. It is located right next to Starbucks which I think influenced our decision as well. Hadn't had a Starbucks fix in over two months as we had been travelling in Africa.
The location is great. Clean rooms but VERY small. One night was perfect.
Bed was not as comfortable as we like.
Room has small fridge.
Breakfast was served late (around 830) but VERY tasty and filling. Fresh bread, meat, cheese, hardboiled egg.
Hotel also has free fast wifi.
We enjoyed our stay.

There were wasps coming out of the vents in our room, the balcony off our room was covered in bird poop as well as the chairs on the balcony we asked for new chairs twice but no one ever brought them.

This hotel is old and beautiful in an odd sort of a way-think floral prints and tulip posters but if you get a see view and a little Romeo&Juliet balcony with the sea stretching into the distance...then you'll probably be half happy (depending of course on what kind of a traveller you are).
Some rooms overlook the market centre and can be noisy (thoiugh there is double glazing) but the 2nd and 3rd floor seafacing rooms are quite lovely-nothing fancy just a comfy room with a few old fashioned fittings to lay your feet to rest after exploring the 1000 year old Monastry or the eery old Greek Orphanage.
Breakfast is yummy-lots of bread and jams, not much variety but it will hit the spot.
The staff is friendly though their command of the English language is poor. There is free wifi in the lobby.
And when you step out the door, the little town centre with its donkey-carts and horse-drawn carriages and rustic cafes is right there...

Room Tip: Sea view, 2nd or 3rd floor!!!

the hotel is very noisy, we could hear everything through the walls! it was impossible to sleep (and the hotel was almost empty, I can't imagine when it's full!). There was also a lot of dust in the room, and the breakfast was not good at all. Far to the real Turkish breakfast experience! I was expecting something more romantic and quite! I would not get back there.

On the good side, the hotel is very close to good fish restaurants (on the shore) and to the ferryboat. It is then very easily accessible.

Fortunately I had been reading other tripadvisor reviews, so I set my expectations below average. That helped out. If you enter the hotel it seems you enter into a movie that is playing fifty years ago. On the other hand, the beds were ok, and the bathroom was clean. But that was about it.
