“romantic stay at Yannon Towers”
Reviewed 3 September 2013 for a stay in July 2013

We, two families from Germany, enjoyed our stay at Yannon Towers very much. It has a romantic atmosphere and it's not very difficult to feel drawn back in time. The owner has well kept the old style of the house combined with modern luxuries like a steam shower in one of the bathrooms. The house is equipped with everything you need and our children found a lot of games to play. The most attractive thing for them (14,13,10, 8) was the tower room where they slept and felt a bit like Harry Potter, separated from the grown-ups through a flight of winding chairs. The view, overlooking the Teignmouth Estuary, is fantastic from almost every window. Even from the garden you can always see the sea. Teignmouth itself is a lovely small town with some nice shops, bars and restaurants. But what we really enjoyed were our barbecues at the beach and our fishing trips. We would always like to come back to this lovely place.

Thank you for your comments and unfortunately our previous gardener was unable to cut the grass prior to your visit. We now have a new gardener who is cutting the grass on a regular basis :)

“What an amazing stay”
Reviewed 7 April 2013 for a stay in April 2013

What an experience - to be Lady of the Manor for a week. It was definitely a one off experience that was worth every penny. The shower experience on the first floor was a delight with a steam included. A proper Cinderella castle for young children.

“An atmospheric and unique place to stay -we will be back!”
Reviewed 25 February 2013 for a stay in November 2012

The whole experience, from booking, to leaving was easy and the owners made us feel welcomed. This amazing gothic and period-furnished "castle" was our home for a short break and we thoroughly enjoyed it. Views from the roof were spectacular and the welcome pack was a lovely touch.
Good location for access to Teignmouth and other areas of Devon.
The steam shower with music is brilliant fun-we managed to have a "spa" afternoon without leaving the house!
We booked this for a hen-do as a suprise for the hen. She didn't know where we were taking her but it was a fantastic suprise for her, unveiling the castle and seeing her face! We all fell in love with the house and are already talking about booking again.

“Great place to stay, especially for the kids”
Reviewed 17 January 2013 for a stay in December 2012

We booked the property as it looked quirky, interesting and had great views across Teignmouth and out to the sea and the experience didn't disappoint. The children loved the different staircases and the castle-like feel - they really enjoyed getting out on to the roof "battlements". The lounge/diner was spacious and comfortable and the kitchen was perfect. All in all a fantastic place to stay.

Liked best: The character of the property, it's views and allowing pets
Liked least: The tower bedroom was so cold (frosty December), even with both heaters on, that we had to move down to another room

“Not a ghost in sight”
Reviewed 16 November 2012 for a stay in November 2012

We stayed here a group of 10 adults for a weekend and had a truely excellent time, well worth the money. Large spacious lounge and dining room. 5 bedrooms over 3 floors so plenty of space and the tower was magical. Gerald the ghost didn't make an appearance for us. Stunning views. Would definately recommend.
