“Lovely Breakfast”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 13 July 2014 via mobile

My wife and I travelled into Teignmouth while staying in nearby Shaldon. We wanted somewhere which offered a good breakfast for a reasonable price. We were not disappointed. The staff were friendly and it seemed busy for early in the day. Décor is a little dated (noticed others had mentioned this on tripadvisor) but that did not spoil what was really a nice meal.

“Very dissapointing”
1 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 8 July 2014

We came across this restaurant by chance and decided to escape the rain. A table for six, ordering nothing exotic, 1 pate, 2 beef baguettes, 1 prawn baguette, 1 bacon baguette and on bacon and brie sandwich, along with various drinks. The restaurant up until now had been busy, but was emptying due to is being mid afternoon. Over half an hour later I went and asked where our order was; on it's way! 15 minutes later I was told that they had run out of pate.... what in the last 45 minutes with very few people coming in and they could only tell us now? The rest of the food was ordered, except the prawns were in a jacket potato. This was taken back and returned in a baguette. Literally, the prawns and a bit of potato had been scrapped out and put in a baguette. The bits of a potato were the give away!.......

“Nice breakfast on a rainy day”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 4 June 2014

Travelled to Teignmouth on the spur of the moment. Of course get there and it just rained. Luckily we found this lovely little café who served us the most tasty breakfast. Staff were really chatty and gave us ideas about what to do in the area. Enjoyed it so much that came back for a late roast lunch which was just as good. Tim the chef was particularly helpful. Will return.

“port in a storm”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 29 May 2014

Full english breakfast, to fill an empty tum.! Having arrived inTeighmouth mid afternoon, weather cool and cloudy we decided to have a full english breakfast, it was hot and well presented. Introduced to new staff being trained motivated and very helpful. Offered more tea and toast.
Visited due our stay in Teighmouth, may look old but good tea and service. A smile costs nothing but it made us come back for more.

“Good old fashioned roast”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 18 May 2014 via mobile

After a hard day at the beach and the local beach side chippery full we ventured forth towards town. Found here and saw they did roast dinners and being Sunday it made sense to have that. Sure the interior is dated but the staff were very friendly and helpful. The food was spot on and tasted great. I'm not sure what happened with previous reviewers but had we judged a book by its cover we'd have missed out. It was busy the day we were there as well
