A very nice friendly local pub. Beer was okay, as was the greeting. However, not the best pub in the village. But a very good second.

Went for the curry and a pint night for £8.50. What a bargain. Delicious curry and a real plate full. Lovely log fire and very nice pint of beer. The landlord and his wife are most welcoming in this charming, relaxed local pub.
I look forward to returning soon

The Ring of Bells is a country pub with nothing fancy. There is a small bar area and a dining area down a few steps from the bar. It is basic, no table cloths or anything else but the food is really good and plentiful. It seems to be home cooked with fresh vegetables; broccoli, cabbage and carrots with a beef and ale pie which had a delightful short crust pastry lid. The meal was served by a very friendly waitress and to pay just on £20 for two meals and drinks is very reasonable but don't expect "plush" A visit before 20.00 (8.00 pm) is recommended.

Had Sunday lunch with two young grandchildren. The cheery staff were attentive and supplied a high car and child meals. A choice of roast dinners at a reasonable price and some filling puddings all went down well. With views across the river teign and a sunny location. Certainly worth a visit.

If you want to get away from the hustle and bustle of Teignmouth then visit Bishopsteignton a small village nestling the banks of the river Teign. The ring of Bells is a friendly local, serving good home cooked pub food.
