“Quality, five star standard!!!!”

My mum has stayed here on two occasions in the last few months. The standard of room was fantastic, spotlessly clean, comfortable & well fitted. Comfortable beds, brilliant bathroom, tea / coffee facilities etc, everything you could want.

Breakfast fantastic, good variety on the menu, not your usual, eggs Benedict, smoked salmon & scrambled eggs, fresh fruit salad etc, alongside an excellently cooked full English! Even accommodated myself and girlfriend as non residents so that we could have breakfast with my family, lovely touch!

The family that run the hotel cannot do anymore for you and I would not even consider booking my mum into any other hotel, she has even rebooked for next week!

This is the best hotel in Teignmouth, absolute value for money!

Fantastic return to the thornhill, great hosts, superb breakfast and brilliant all round visit. We'll be back again later in the year, and we are all looking forward to it already!

Very friendly and comforting place and you feel more than welcome throughout your visit.

We stayed here on a weekend break with family. The hotel is a lovely place, clean, comfortable beds and a nice hot shower. Breakfast is fantastic, full English, cereal and fruit. Overall a very friendly place and we won't hesitate to return.

Just returned from a weekend break and stayed here along with family, hotel is spotless, rooms are clean and spacious, nice hot showers and excellent breakfast, as said before no parking but there's ample parking and all free after 6 and before 9, would recommend highly we will return.

Back to the Thornhill & Teignmouth for the 67th year. The hotel had recently changed ownership and the new hosts were first class and very attentive. We stayed in room 6 which was wonderful with it's sea view and queen size bed, en-suite of course. Spotlessly clean and brightly furnished.

Breakfast was delicious & the menu very comprehensive with something for all tastes especially the mandatory "full English".

Roll on 68th year!

Room Tip: All rooms are high quality but those with a sea view have that something extra.

Very friendly family run hotel, spotlessly clean room, although a bit on the small side. We were at the back, no view, but quiet. Great service at breakfast. No parking on site, 5 min walk, free after 6pm til 9am.

Room Tip: Ask for a sea view!

We often visit Teignmouth as my mother lives there; unfortunately we now have to stay in a hotel (oh the hardship!) and we picked a winner in the Thornhill :-) We have already booked our next stay whilst finishing our first stay.
The hotel has an excellent location at the end of the seafront, near to the Lido and towards the train line to Dawlish. A very quiet location and we could hear the waves crashing on the seawall (it was choppy at high tide!!).
Our room (no 10) was very clean, had THE most comfortable bed (cotton sheets - always a winner for me), good shower, and although a little dated (cheap pine wardrobes but I'm not complaining), I had the best nights sleep for a long time.
The breakfast offered a good choice; the usual pastries and cereals and fruits and full English but also scrambled eggs and smoked salmon or eggs benedict. All served with a smile from Marika and nothing was too much trouble for anyone.
Thank you Thornhill.

Room Tip: Room 7 is bigger
