We were lucky to find this place through a contact of my wifes. Summer Breeze is a well appointed, very comfortable (beds especially) modern holiday let in the lovely town of Teignmouth. The house is very modern, excellent kitchen with all Mod Cons. Wifi. Freeview. Clean and plenty of wardrobes. Lovely bathroom.
We had a wonderful week here and are looking forward to going back.
Town centre, Waitrose, outdoor pool, many excellent restaurants and pubs all within a couple of minutes from the house (its up hill on the way back so don't eat too much Lobster down the Crab Shack!).
Only issue is the parking as you can't park near to the house and have to park up by the School which can be a bit hit and miss to get a space. Same with off and on loading when you arrive. The road is very narrow outside and double yellows so you have to be quick. As we went Sat - Sat we used the samll Industrial complex literally opposite which worked out as it was the weekend but might not if you're in the week.
However this did not effect our holiday or the lovely time we had at Summer Breeze and in Devon. We all loved it and can't wait to go back.
Summer Breeze is a lovely house in Teignmouth. The house is well decorated and has all essential things we needed. Brilliant shower (and I loved the bathroom tiles!) and very comfy beds.
We had a slight issue with the bunk bed frame being loose but no harm was done and Rachel was great to communicate with.
You can't park outside but we parked nearby no problem. Shops, beach and town centre are all so close we didn't nee the car anyway.
Would stay again.
We can't recommend Summerbreeze enough.
It's been an absolutely amazing week with the weather on our side, with our 2 children aged 4 & 9 months.
The house has everything in place to ensure this is a home from home in a perfect location for exploring Teignmouth. It was perfect with the baby as a highchair and cot were provided along with stair gates making it a safe environment.
The beach is just a few minutes walk away as is Waitrose, the train station and all of the shops in Teignmouth town centre with many great restaurants to choose from.
You're only a short drive from Torquay & a short ferry ride across to Shaldon.
The accommodation is clean, welcoming & beautifully decorated in a coastal theme throughout.
The beds are very comfortable especially the master king room and the rain shower in the bathroom is just gorgeous!
We lit the log burner at night, it was very romantic and snug and soon made the house toasty.
We parked on the main Exeter road just past the community college see photos.
Can't wait to return!
We stayed in this rental in September and booked because of the very good reviews, but we were disappointed by the cleanliness and the general housekeeping. The property is advertised as 2 king beds and 3 singles. The was one double bed (maybe king), two twins, and two bunk beds, I'm not entirely sure where the third single was supposed to be, and disagree that it comfortably sleeps 7! It wasn't such a big issue that there wasn't a second double, but the fact that not all of the beds were made up was more of a problem. On arriving we had to search through the house to find some spare sheets to make an extra bed up. The beds were not as advertised and the mattress protectors on the beds were filthy so I took mine off. They were covered in stains and in my opinion, are not washed between guests.
The floors and upholstery was filthy, the cushions, sofa and rug were covered in stains and our feet were black after walking around. The kitchen work surface had crumbs and butter on it and the upstairs toilet seat was broken. This place needs a good scrub! I would not return nor recommend.
The house was clean, comfortable, wonderfully decorated and in a lovely location, five adults had enough room and space and enjoyed it very much! We will definitely return!
It was a great location, good access to shops the beach and train station. Lots to do and very friendly. The cottage was well equipped and had everything you need. The only slight negative is the parking but great advice was given about where to park nearby. I would definitely recommend for a relaxing break.

Lovely looking house. Lots of space for my family and our children. Plenty of space, perfect for what we wanted - a great base to spend some time together and spend a gentle week exploring Teignmouth and the surrounding area. Teignmouth itself is a great little town. I really love the balance that it has struck, there is plenty to see and do there but it doesnt feel tacky and is much more pleasant than some of the surrounding resorts. We went across to Shaldon for the regatta which was lots of fun and there was plenty of interesting stuff going on on the back beach. Already considering heading down again next August bank holiday - seems like the perfect weekend to do it ss there is so much going on. Would also recommend the lido, we had a lot of fun there. Thanks very much Rachel, I got exactly what I wanted - the perfect end to my children's summer!
