We just recently returned from a weeks stay at Gem Cottage. We arrived a day late as our flight was cancelled from Newcastle due to heavy snow in Devon so we got the train down the next morning. When we finally arrived it was what we expected.Clean, tidy and warm.Everything you could think of was provided by Sue.The centre of Teignmouth is only a 10 minute walk away but it is down a fairly steep bank but we didn't mind the walk back.Teignmouth itself is really nice with a large selection of independent shops which was a nice change from all the large chains most towns have.We did the ferry service across the Teign Estuary to Shaldon which was only £1.60 per person eachway.Had a day out to Plymouth as well and had a good walk around The Hoe.There are some nice bars in both Teignmouth and Shaldon with all serving food.Prices are reasonable.Back to Gem Cottage and we would certainly return.Big thank you once again to Sue for an enjoyable stay.Andy & Lynne.
Weather was not kind to us, but Su was very good, we were snowed in! Unfortunately the hill was very bad for two day. But it did not put us off Teignmouth or the cottage. We will return in the summer.
We had a lovely week in Gem cottage. Nice and clean and well equipped. Thank you Su for the lovely cake. Hope to book again soon. Marian and John .
We stayed for a week at the cottage, and it had everything we needed for a holiday The owner was nice and welcomed us with fantastic individual cakes, which was a nice touch.
We had a fab week. Su was very welcoming (and her home made cake on arrival was a lovely touch). Everything we needed was in Gem cottage. Thanks for a lovely stay.

About 5 mins drive/20-30 mins walk down steep hill to reach from Teignmouth centre/beach, off road parking for family saloon but not a really large vehicle, this one bed cottage adjoins the owner's home. Well-furnished, well equipped, quiet and secluded; and with almost everything I needed. The shower worked well and the kitchen was clean and modern.

I used Gem Cottage as a base for visiting my Daughter and her family over Christmas and new year. It was very comfortable, warm and had everything you would need for a self catering break, and the owners were very friendly and helpful.
