“Fab!”
Reviewed 25 July 2014 via mobile

Went for my daughters 18th birthday. All the staff were very friendly and accommodating. We sat outside, it was a perfect evening, felt like we were on holiday! Everyone around joined in singing happy birthday including Dicey O'Reilly's! The food was great & could not fault the service. Would definitely recommend if you are in Teignmouth. The table next to us who moaned because the waiter helped move our table should be ashamed of themselves! Thank you Lizzie & all at the Colosseum for a fab night out :)

“A fantastic 50th birthday party! 11th July 2014”
Reviewed 19 July 2014

I think first thing to say is that for me a welcome to a dining experience sets the scene for the start of a pleasant and enjoyable evening and our hostess Lizzie did not and has never disappointed.

I had my 50th birthday party at The Colosseum along with 20 of my friends and without exception everyone commented on the quality and presentation of the food we received, the ambience created and the high standard of courtesy and service.

I have been many times and will go many times again, you are made to feel very, very special and the host is a very cultured presence supported by a very good chef and waiters.

I recommend the Colosseum as a total gem

“A Return Visit”
Reviewed 18 July 2014

We returned to the Colosseum almost a year after our first visit and were delighted to find the same excellent standards. Despite it being early in the week the restaurant was packed and although we had booked were told our table was not quite ready and would we like to eat outside, we declined but agreed to have a drink whilst we waited. A new table for two was prepared very quickly. The meal itself was faultless with delicious seafood, pasta, steaks and desserts. The staff from top to bottom appear so passionate about their food and the three musicians were superb. There is not a lot of space between tables but this seems to add to the atmosphere. Finally an unexpected discount on our bill for the wait!

“Colosseum - goes from strength”
Reviewed 14 July 2014

Somehow this restaurant manages to improve on itself all the time. Just enjoyed another delicious meal courtesy of Lizzie and her terrific team of front of house staff. The ambience is enhanced by several quality musicians who take it in turn to add to the experience. Of course we do not see much of Franco, Lizzie's husband and authentic Italian chef. He is usually in the kitchen conjuring up delicious gastronomic delights. For quality of service, quality food and a brilliant atmosphere, the Colosseum would be hard to beat. I will certainly eat there again - can't wait!

“party of 26!”
Reviewed 12 July 2014

Had a fantastic night. 26 people we did not pre order which was lovely as we could choose what we felt like eating at the time. Prices suit everyone's pocket from pizza, or meatballs for £10 up to £22 for amazing steaks. Lizzie and staff made us feel more then welcome and could not do enough to ensure we had a great night. 5 out of 5!!!!
