Pretty cottage in a lovely location for exploring Dorset. Charming inside and out and very cosy. Good communication from the owners before and during our stay.
The cottage is conveniently located for Monkey World and the Tank Museum - both a short drive away and both recommended. Two pubs are within walking distance, one of which caters for coeliacs.
We had a great stay!
We stayed at this beautiful thatched cottage for half term with our two children. What a gorgeous, warm and friendly place to stay and base yourself for the amazing adventures that we had in the Dorset area. There is so much to see and do here. The highlight for us were the beaches and incredible coastal walks. The cottage is so cosy. The kitchen has everything you need and plenty of space, and the back garden was perfect for the kids to play and for sitting out on a warm evening. I would recommend this cottage to couples and families, and we cannot wait to go back.
We loved our stay. The cottage has plenty of character and set in a lovely little hamlet, backing onto a meadow. The cottage was the perfect size for us and our two kids. The kitchen had everything we needed. Bere Regis was an ideal location for getting around attraction in Dorset. We would love to stay here again.
Beautiful house and wonderful location.
Arriving back home we found that we missed the lovely log fire!!.
What an absolute beauty of a
Cottage. We stayed here for 10 nights during August 16 and I could not fault it. It's so lovely with that lovely traditional feel. We had such a fab time at the cottage as a family and did so much. The cottage was quite and comfortable with everything you needed. The garden was a Little gem with plenty of space. Lovely places to check out are, Corfe Castle, Kingston Lacy and Shell Bay beach is wonderful. So many more places around to visit, too many to list. Owners were friendly and we felt like we could always message at any time if needed. I would definitely recommend Swallows Cottage for a family or couple. Hoping to return to the cottage one day.
Just spent a week in this cottage.
Could find no fault with it, old beams and small windows, lovely garden and bird song, made especially special as we had lovely weather.
Lovely clean and bright, bedding/towels fresh and clean. Kitchen well equipped with everything we needed.
Log fire which we did light, just because it made it even more cosy.
Village quit with local well stocked shop and Royal Oak PH - great Curry night - Tuesday
Just a pity we could not find any history about the cottage.
