“Squeezed in”
Reviewed 30 June 2014

Popped into the Rose Tree for tea on Saturday evening. We booked shortly beforehand (around half six) and it was perhaps as well, as they were the only two seats remaining in the dining area.
We had starters (Salmon & cream cheese/garlic ciabatta) and main courses (steak & ale pie/steak). All the food was done as requested and very nice all round.
The courses are very large though, and we could have done without the starters (and the added coleslaw I ordered). My girlfriend failed to get near to finishing her steak & ale pie.
But overall, very nice and you could certainly do worse in the area.

“Great place”
Reviewed 21 June 2014

This is the second time we've been to The Rose Tree Inn and it was nice to see that the standards are still very high. We visited on Thursday lunchtime and although we hadn't booked we were quickly shown to a table. The menu has a wide variety of choices and very reasonably priced, especially for the chef's specials.. Our drinks and food arrived quickly and the food was perfectly cooked. Service was very efficient and all the staff were very nice and friendly. Will certainly be returning..

“Lovely spot on a nice day.”
Reviewed 9 June 2014

Had a lovely Sunday lunch here with our family, We had booked and were shown straight to our table. Service was a little slow but it was very busy. We had three courses and all were very tasty and well presented. It was a lovely sunny day and I think the restaurant needed a little ventilation, we did not ask for a window to be opened, but it was rather warm. Our desserts were very nice, but I felt my ice cream was a bit overpriced for what it was. We would however recommend and go back again.

“Superb”
Reviewed 4 May 2014 via mobile

My wife and I went to this pub for a meal as our friends had said it was very good value, we know Ken and Noreen the owners and they recommended the flat steak which we both got it was tremendous cooked to perfection and we got a free glass of wine in with the price my wife also had a pudding which she described as heaven, I would definitely recommend this lovely little pub to anyone wanting a great meal at a very good price the service from the staff was very friendly so a good night all round
