“Fantastic Hotel”

Great stay for our anniversary, Dinner was just wonderful and the staff attentive and knowledgable. Room was large, airy and comfortable.
Spa treatments were great and the spa itself very nice, they could do with recladding the wooden jacuzzi as its getting a little aged! and a bit more maintenance in the spa as things are looking a little tired

Helmsley is a very pleasant village on the edge of the north Yorkshire moors, a little "theme park Britain" with day trippers but it stills seems to have a heart and people who actually live here.

The Feversham arms hotel is very cleverly constructed from a number of  buildings to make a modern hotel with a traditional feel. My room was very comfortable, the pool/courtyard area made for a sun trap that was perfect for relaxing with a drink.

Food was of a reasonable standard, and although the portions small, very good. Service was fine and in the main friendly, but not that seamless slick service that some hotels of this quality just seem to be able to deliver and get right.

Did not stay but booked a special treat for my wife. 2 treatments with lunch included.
Where to start, salt inhalation not working till 11.30, the heat area shower so hot you couldn't stand under it, so achieved their goal there. Letting guests walk around the area with bottles of beer and allowing them to drink in the pool. Treatment was late thus had to rush lunch before second treatment, one plus the lunch was good although no time to enjoy it.
Treatment was not very professional and also rushed.
The staff were attentive, but this did not make up for the disapointment.
No doubt the hotel stay may be a different kettle of fish, but spending a lot of money on a day treat was a let down.
Do not believe the hipe.

Room Tip: Hotel may be good, but the spa is a let down.

We booked a one night stay for a special anniversary. We were thrilled to be upgraded to a poolside room, and accompanying the bottle we had preordered was the most amazing hand crafted cake. The room was comfortable with everything we needed including a log burner! The bathroom was superb , with candles, and a twin ended bath in which you can fit two! We booked treatments too in the spa and were not disappointed.
The evening meal was good - we had the tasting menu. The breakfast the next day was one of the best we have had in Yorkshire. On checkout there was even valet parking - in Helmsley! Amazing, worth every penny for a very special indulgent treat.

Room Tip: Ask for a poolside room!

We stayed at the Feversham Arms for a 40th birthday celebration. Went for the pamper me twice package in one of the poolside suites. I have to say that the staff at the spa and the hotel were all fantastic and very helpful, nothing was too much for them. Food was spectacular, went for the a la carte menu both nights and have to commend Gregg for his outstanding knowledge of the cheese board! The outdoor heated pool was fab as was the heat experience at the spa. Treatments were sooo relaxing I fell asleep during a facial! Helmsley is a little gem of a town, but didn't want to leave the hotel. We will be back. valet parking is a lovely touch.

Room Tip: Spa suites have own private balcony
