an excellent suite overlooking the pool area. the pool is heated so north yorkshire can feel warm! our rooms were wonderful. our stay only slightly marred by our dinner time alteration not being noted and the dated furnishing of the dining room

I took my Fiancée to the Feversham Arms as a Birthday surprise and it never fell short of our expectations. I booked a Junior Suite spa break and they firstly upgraded our room to a nicer suite upon arrival which was a nice touch. We spent some time in the Spa which again was excellent - the only fault I could mentioned was the Razoul mud experience which was expensive for what you got but other than that the grounds, pool and hot tub were all first class.

When we went to our room there was even a Birthday cake waiting which was a very nice touch. The room was nothing short of breath taking with a sitting room and open fireplace and a huge bathroom. Dinner that night was again faultless and the staff didn't mind that me and my partner were still sitting and talking after dinner well past closing time. The staff were all very friendly and couldn't do enough for us. We are even looking at booking our wedding here next year!

Accommodation and service were exceptionally good at this high class hotel. But the food in the restaurant would take some beating because it was of a superb standard. This is the sort of place we would return to and therefore highly recommend!

We stayed at the feversham for our honeymoon and the service from the staff could not be better. As a little touch we had a complimentary bottle of champagne in our room when we checked in and the staff made a point of referring to us as Mr and Mrs just a little touch but quite sweet for newly weds. The food in the restaurant was amazing and reasonably priced. Our room was a little bit smaller than we'd hoped for the price we paid. I had a massage in the spa which was nice but was disappointed that the window in the treatment room was open making it quite noisy while I tried to relax.

Spent one night here on a holiday in the north of England. Helmsley is a beautiful place with a wonderful walled garden to explore.
The Feversham Arms is a lovely hotel, with top quality rooms and an outdoor heated swimming pool which was great for a pre-dinner dip.
Talking of dinner, this was the only let down of the trip: it felt like a bit of a production line with 5 minutes to look at the menu, then straight through to the table. We had barely sat down when our starters arrived, and the plates were being cleared as our main courses were served. We were all finished within 35 minutes! I would also add that the quality of the food does not match the overall hotel experience: I think the chef was trying to be too clever, instead of sticking to top quality, simpler food.
Overall I would still return to the hotel, but would eat elsewhere in the evening.
