Had a wonderful start to the holiday and was welcomed by both Jason and Lisa who are lovely owners. Nice welcome hamper with breads and coffee and tea and dog treats.
The barn itself is very spacious with a huge garden for the dog to run around.
Though without sounding like a nit picker was disappointed with:-
Both Beds :- not comfy at all and felt they could do with updating
Hot Water- showering was limited to 5 minutes before it went stone cold, then having to wait another hour is a pain for it to heat up.
Was aware we were on a working farm, though I recommend buying ear plugs as the noise of the tipper trucks is quite loud at 6am.
Had nice meals in Helmsley but probably wouldnt stay at this place again.
Beautiful countryside surrounds this fantastic property. Everything we needed for us and our dogs, who loved walking in North Yorkshire. Lots to see nearby would certainly recommend the stables to friends. We will visit again
This is by far one of the most beautiful places we have stayed. Brilliantly located to explore the many sights of Yorkshire but secluded enough to be relaxing.
The Stables itself were equipped with everything you would find in your own home and spotlessly clean.
Our dogs were made welcome too with beds, leads and bowls provided.
Will definitely book again.
Absolutely amazing, we are due to go for our 5th stay in June and none of us can wait, Lisa, Jason, the boys and ted are lovely, everything u could need, beautiful enclosed garden for the dogs to run in, the only issue I have is it does not matter how long I book for, it's never enough, the place is amazing every time and I seriously can not rate it high enough
On arrival greeted with a very friendly welcome. Provided with tea, coffee and milk. Accommodation is clean and spacious with a lovely separate bathroom that has a bath and a large walk in shower. Logs for the log burner can be purchased, alongside fresh free range eggs. The kitchen has everything you would need, like home from home. The surroundings are lovely and it is accessible for exploring local points of interest. All in all myself, cousin and auntie enjoyed every moment and would not hesitate to go back. Definitely would recommend to friend and family.

Stayed here for a long weekend whilst visiting surrounding areas. The cottage looks great on the internet but the photos do not do it justice, truly beautiful cottage finished to a high standard. The owners are lovely and friendly, ensuring that we wanted for nothing. The cottage was warm and cosy for our arrival, with coffee, tea, milk and fresh fruit awaiting us. It's the little touches we have found that made this cottage so comfy and that little bit extra special. We felt relaxed from the second we arrived. The fireplace is incredible and makes the stay worthwhile alone, especially on cold blustery evenings. The surrounding area is breathtakingly beautiful. We drove for hours several days taking in the area and cannot find a bad thing to say about it. York is only a short drive away as is the MacArthur Glenn outlet store. Thoroughly recommend the free park and ride into the city. Other major cities are within a short (hour ish) drive, including Leeds, Newcastle, etc. We have loved our time at The Stables and would not hesitate to recommend. It's been a wonderful weekend and look forward to visiting again.
