What a lovely B&B. From the moment I walked thru the door...the welcome from thurza & Vic to the fantastic breakfast that greeted me in the morning - all locally sourced produce. The bedroom was spotlessly clean & ever so cosy. I will be coming back.

I came with my wife to East field Lodge for a few days on about 5/11/2012.The accommodation was excellent, the double room was large with a comfortable bed.The young man who greeted us on arrival and was the Chef was very helpful, and his home made cakes excellent that he left for us each day, nearly a different cake each day.The lady who helped out at breakfast was also helpful and gave us an excellent breakfast with local produce.
There are plenty of walking guides I could use.The only slight problem was that the internet connection was poor on the first night, but was good on the other
days.We will probably be back and we might bring a walking friend with us next time.

Lovely place to stay. Friendly & welcoming hosts, spotlessly clean rooms, excellent breakfast (really really exceptional breakfast, the fresh fruit salad with yoghurt before the fry up is the way every breakfast should start) and cake on arrival. Loads of information available about the area. Can't really ask for more. We only managed to get away for the one night this time but we will deifinitely be heading there again when we get some time for hopefully a longer stay.

I stopped off in Leyburn and was lucky enough to stumble on Eastfield. Even though I wasn't expected there was a warm welcome waiting - along with a homemade slice of cake. The owners were very attentive, my room was warm and cosy and spotlessly clean. Breakfast was great - lots of fresh fruit and homemade preserves (as well as full cooked). Unfortunately I was just breaking a journey, but I will definitely go back to do some more exploring in the area - it looked stunning even in awful weather.

Just returned from a four day organised walking break and can not fault a thing, From the hospitality of Thrurza, Rich and Anna to the amazing food produced at every meal by Vic. Eastfield lodge and Colletts look after absolutely everything. On arrival we were greeted by a hot cuppa, Then after settling into our room Champagne and canapes before dinner and then as mentioned before the most wonderful meal and flowing wine with excellent chat . The afternoon Tea and cake waiting for you when you return from the guided walks is fantastic, as are the free pic n mix sweets. The rooms are extremely well decorated and kept spotlessly clean with fresh towels everyday, Thankyou Colletts for the most wonderful of short breaks

Thank you so much Vic and Thurza!
A top class service from a very friendly and hospitable couple. Our room was very clean and tidied on a daily basis with fresh towels available. Shower had constant hot water which is always a delight after a long windy walk! The hot tap on the sink did get very hot quickly, but I always find non-mixer taps to be the same. A great selection of tea and biscuits are provided in the room, and as others have noted the owners have added their own lovely touches to make a stay here extremely comfortable - such as a fridge in a communal lounge with fresh milk provided daily, and a cupboard with a good selection of dvd's, books and games. Also Vic makes delicious complimentary cakes which are offered to all guests, and there are jars full of sweets to take with you on walks around the Dales! These little original ideas made our stay so enjoyable. There are plenty of leaflets, books and maps available to copy or borrow, and the couple were more than happy to discuss their favourite walks and places to see around Leyburn.
I would highly recommend to all age groups, and would be happy to return to Eastfield Lodge again.
The only slight complaint I have is that our TV had no signal for most channels, and so we were left with only BBC 1 and 2 and the radio channels, which in this modern age was a bit bizarre. Other guests also commented on this issue, but really it's probably healthy to survive a few nights without TV anyway!

Room Tip: The only noises we heard from other rooms were the showers - so no real complaints or advice.

We had a two night stay from 28th September and were made very welcome from the moment arrived. Vic gave us a short tour of what is a large Victorian House showing us a guest lounge ( a nice touch was a fridge with fresh milk for guests) and the breakfast room, and we immediately settled into our very clean and comfortable en suite room on the first floor and at the front of the house.

Eastfield Lodge is very conveniently situated about 300 yards from the centre of Leyburn. Breakfast was excellent with plenty of choice and the staff very friendly and flexible.

Although we were meeting up with friends, Eastfield Lodge is a great base for walking. A daily detailed weather forecast for walkers was posted in the lobby, maps and suggestions for walks were also available to read and borrow.

The room was very warm due to secondary glazing and several radiators, and our only minor issue would be a lack of an effective temperature control except for opening a window.

All in all a lovely weekend and accommodation we highly recommend to all.
