We are on a weeks break here from clavering Essex. We recieved a lovely welcome from Vic on arrival. After showing us the layout of the house and where to find the homemade cake and free sweets ( you read right!!) We were shown to room 7. A large spacious room with homely feel. Clean modern en suite was perfect. Breakfasts here are superb they are so nice generous and so yummy. Thurza always greets you of a morning with a smile. The cakes that Vic and Thurza make are lovely went down lovely with a cup of tea in our room as we were getting ready to go out in the evening. I would recommend eastfield lodge to any one heading this way as it is in such a central location for all the things to see and do here . Vic and Thurza are a lovely couple doing a grand job at Eastfield lodge and hope to come back sometime soon.thank you again Michael and Lisa .

We have recently returned from a 4-night stay at Eastfield Lodge. Along with other reviewers, we would certainly recommend this lovely place. The sweet jars in the hall were a thoughtful and appreciated touch - especially with the charity donations box nearby. Lots of helpful material available on walks and "what to do" activities for the Dales.
We would have no hesitation in recommending this B & B.

Have just spent 4 nights in this wonderful b&b. We go with 3 other couples so a lot of boxes have to be ticked! This was certainly one of the best places we have stayed - It does say in the brochure that Vic & Thurza run the house with care and attention and this is so true - they are a hard working professional young couple who make you feel very welcome. The bedrooms were immaculate and very spacious with everything you needed - we loved the home baked cake every day and we must mention the best breakfasts ever. There was a lovely residents lounge which had a guest fridge and always fresh milk & tea and coffee.
The information & map room was invaluable. The jars of sweets on the dresser in the hallway were a great delight to help yourself to - it was like being in a sweet shop - great fun and there was a charity donation box to put your offerings in. Long may Eastfield Lodge continue - we will certainly be back. Thank you.
