“The Pines”
Reviewed 16 October 2011

My wife and I have just returned from a very pleasant stay at The Pines. From the moment we arrived we were made to feel at ease, hosts Tim and Gloria are extremely friendly and went above and beyond in helping us get the most out of our short stay in Ingleton.

The breakfasts are first class, an ideal preparation for a long days walking. We found the other guests extremely friendly also, all down to the relaxed ‘home from home’ atmosphere created by Tim and Gloria.

The guest house itself is spotlessly clean, the rooms are very adequate and the pool room with ‘honesty bar’ provides an excellent place to relax and wind down. We found our privacy was well respected as we were left to our own devices, however, if we needed anything a push of a bell and Tim or Gloria would appear as if by magic.

I would highly recommend The Pines for anybody contemplating a stay in the area, my wife and I will defiantly be returning before the end of the year.

My wife and I have stayed at The Pines for a few years, now for both breaks and as stop overs when returning home from Scotland, the last time the beginning of October 2011 for a short break. Living near Lincoln it does mean a bit of a detour, but it's more than worth it. As hosts Gloria and Tim are supreme and make us feel like we are returning home on each visit. The food is excellent and well presented in the conservatory dining room, the overhead grape vine adding a relaxing outdoor alfresco atmosphere to mealtimes. The room presentation has always been spotlessly clean and tidy. Decoration throughout the hotel is excellent with no shabby wallpaper, furniture or carpets. The location of The Pines is just about central to cover The Dales, Trough Of Bowland and The Lakes what more could you want? Sorry Gloria and Tim but, like 'The Bad Penny' we will keep returning.

We stayed here for 3 days over a weekend...The Guest House was clean, tidy, the rooms well kept...The whole place was first class... Mein Host Tim and his lovely wife, played perfect hosts to everyone ...with some humour thrown in ...the breakfasts were great ...and the evening meals of a good standard....the conservatory dining room , complete with 127 year old vine with hanging bunches of grapes above us, was a superb venue for dining...a very pleasant stay and we will definetely return...

This was the second time we stayed at The Pines, and this time we took my in-laws. They were overwhelmed with the hospitality they recieved, nothing was too much trouble for Tim & Gloria, and believe me my in-laws are not easily pleased. Our room had been recently updated and the comfort level of our room was fantastic. Eating in is a treat in itself, I defy you to find better quality or value. Do yourself a favour, if you're visiting the area book a stay at The Pines.

First time we have stayed at the Pine Country house - and will definately be staying again next year - if not before! Tim and Gloria are fantastic tentive hosts, and Breakfast's were spot on! We stayed from Saturday through to Monday for Ingleton Folk weekend - of which we also thoroughly enjoyed!
Roll on next year!

Stayed here a few times now and the hosts (Tim and Gloria) make you feel welcome. Great breakfasts and facilities are just right. The pool table is a bonus (just right for wet evenings). Ingleton town centre is 10 minutes away, so the location and parking is ideal for either passing through or when exploring the area.

Room Tip: Rooms facing the A65 have outstanding views though they can be a little noisy from traffic in the su...

The Pines was quite a find. We stayed here in mid September with two friends. Both our rooms were beautifully furnished and spotlessly clean. The beds were very comfortable and to me this is one of the most important aspects for a happy stay. Tim and Gloria were very welcoming, the food was of a very high quality and even our veggie tastes were catered for at quite short notice. I must mention the porrige, Tim's way of preparing and cooking it took it beyond a regular breakfast cereal to another realm. A good place for touring north Yorkshire and the Dales and we even manged a walk in Langdale. I think we will be back.
