“An excellent christmas break”
Reviewed 30 December 2013

This was the first time at the pines, Tim and Gloria are great hosts and Tim is an excellent chef, the room was clean and spacious and we would definitely stay again. A lovely location to stay at, so much to see and do, we stayed for 5 nights would stay longer next time.

Room Tip: The room was excellent

This was our first visit to the Pines Country House and we were not disappointed, the accommodation was both spotless and comfortable. The food was excellent with a very good menu to choose from. Credit must go to the hosts Tim & Gloria who made our Christmas break a very enjoyable experience. We will be back in the summer as the position of the Pines Country House is in an ideal location for exploring the Dales.

We stayed here for only one night but would like to have stayed longer.
The room we stayed in was very spacious and clean. There was a choice of three meals and the food we chose was wonderful, both at the evening meal and breakfast. We received a very warm welcome and spent the evening in front of a lovely open fire. We would definitely put The Pines at the top of the list to stay at again in the future.

We stayed for 7 nights and it was great. Tim and Gloria were great hosts and gave great advice on places to visit, especially the local waterfalls walk. The room was large, and lovely and warm, and nice to have a sofa in the room as well. Great views over the fields and lovely to hear the owls. Breakfast was delicious, especially Tims home made porridge. The cooked breakfast was also delicious according to my husband! We would recommend Pines Country House to anyone who wanted a place to stay where the hosts were welcoming and couldn't do enough to make sure your stay was everything you wanted. Came away with a couple of jars of Tims delicious home made marmalade as well!!

Room Tip: Back room was lovely and quiet and lovely views

We had a lovely nights stay at The Pines Country House. It was the perfect base for our cycle ride to White Shaw Moss and Garsdale Head. Tim and Gloria were warm, welcoming and accommodating of our bikes. Tim even helped us in the pouring rain to store them in his garage. Our room was clean, spacious and comfortable. The full English breakfast was expertly cooked by Tim and was ideal to set us up for our ride. We would happily stay here again!

Tim and Gloria are very accommodating hosts and nothing seems to be too much trouble for them. Spent a long weekend here in mid-October with my family and had a wonderful time. We have been here many times and can highly recommend it. The evening meals were outstanding and very reasonably priced. The breakfasts were equally good and you should definitely try Tim's porridge! Well-located for local attractions such as the Ingleton waterfalls walk which are within a few minutes walking distance. Good position for visiting other major attractions like The Lakes, too.
