Coppa Hill Barn is a recently renovated barn conversion which has been completed to a very high standard, both inside and out. It’s modern, it’s been furnished with no expense spared and seemingly with the guests comfort in mind. For example there are plenty of sockets (and one for the hairdryer next to the mirror!!), under floor heating controlled in room, a spacious wardrobe with lots of hangers… The bathroom in the imperial grey room is nothing short of plush, with a huge two person bath complete with candles (and a box of matches).
Although based just outside Ingleton rather than in the village (which is no great loss) it is walkable. In daylight there is a pleasant path from the front door which follows the river, through the fields into the village. After dark there is a pavement all the way back along the road. The setting itself is peaceful, set back from any roads, overlooking hills. Our window was always open so we could hear the sheep, and that’s all you could hear.
Breakfast was high quality and generous, covering all options; hot, cold, healthy, indulgent…
Emily was also more than happy to fill our flask for us and prepare a packed lunch for us, and there was always a selection of home made cakes at the end of the day, the highlight being her Victoria sponge, which was magnificent. There is a small communal area in front of the log burner, but with a super-king bed in the room and a wall mounted TV and/or views over the dales…
Value for money Coppa Hill Barn is excellent. I can’t believe anyone could find fault with it.

We stayed here for 2 nights and had a very peaceful stay. The rooms were fresh, clean and comfortable and the location was quiet. The views were superb. The breakfasts were varied and excellent quality. There are no blackout blinds so we were awakened by the sun, and the room was overly warm with a heavy quilt in summer! However despite this we thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would have no hesitation in recommending Coppa Hill Barn. Be warned that the walk into Ingleton is no easy feat for those unaccustomed to plodding across mud over the fields, so a car is a must for dinner in the evening. Well recommended.

We arrived on a lovely day to a very warm welcome from Emily. The barn has been beautifully converted to provide the modern facilities we all expect - spacious and light bedrooms, very comfortable beds, gorgeous shower rooms, and views from every window to die for. Completely peaceful but only about a mile from the local village and Ingleton falls. Great breakfasts and the bonus of homemade cakes waiting when we returned from our days out - we could not fault it. Emily was very helpful and arranged for our daughter to go riding at a local farm on the moors. If you want a break in the Dales (which we would certainly recommend) then this is the place to stay!

Room Tip: All were lovely

My husband and I have just enjoyed a two night stay at Coppa Hill Barn. As you drive up to the barn, the view over the hills and down to the river is breathtaking. We were met at the door by Emily who is very friendly and welcoming. The barn conversion is spectacular and very homely (still can't forget how springy the carpet feels). We stayed in The Green Room which is spacious and decorated/furnished to a high standard. The king size bed and lovely bedding were extremely comfortable. The en-suite was superb, with plenty of soft fluffy towels and the toiletry products provided were fantastic. The view from the room was amazing. Breakfast, in the lovely dining room/lounge, was yummy (full english). The home baking left out by Emily, to help yourself, is a lovely touch and was delicious. Loved our stay and have already highly recommended Coppa Hill Barn.

We stayed at Coppa Hill Barn for 2 nights. Emily was an absolute delight and gave us a warm welcome on arrival, together with freshly baked cakes and slices. We had the green room on the ground floor (which was great as hubby didnt have to carry luggage upstairs) with the view over the dales and the river just below . The room was large and tastefully decorated, the bed was kingsize and very comfortable, the bathroom was spacious with large shower and a huge bath, huge thick fluffy towels. The breakfast was delicious, fresh fruit, yoghurts, cereals, juice and the best scrambled eggs with salmon, poached eggs, bacon and tomato, toast and lots of hot tea. With thank Emily and Jonny for their hospitality and hope all goes well with the birth of their baby.
We did not find any problem with the cattle grid, a part of country life.
We would highly recommend COPPA HILL BARN to everyone looking to stay at an affordable. spacious and welcoming B & B in the Yorkshire Dales.

Room Tip: Look for a B & B that has large rooms and some form of seating, especially after a day out
