From the external signage forbidding support vans from parking you can tell this place is being far too picky in its clientele. Just stopping on a walk here I got poor service and rude staff. Being charged the usual exorbitant price for a pint of Guinness is expected these days, but when it's not actually a pint but poured from a supermarket can it's not really on.
I would suggest that any parties of walkers just ignore the establishment and head over the hill back to civilisation where your custom will be more welcome.
Reconsidered my lunch option and decided that based on reception and staff attitude that is rather brave the next hill than wait to be served again.
Not to be recommended for anyone on a 3 peaks walk to consider as a meeting point and certainly not with transport.More
