“Fabulous living space - great location - super service”
Reviewed 20 May 2016 for a stay in May 2016

The thing that really sells this cottage is the living space. It's huge and really comfortable with plenty of space to lounge, eat at the table or for little ones to play if it's wet (which is wasn't - we were really lucky with the weather).

The layout of the bedrooms is a tiny bit odd, which is all that stops me giving the cottage a full five star review. You have to go through the family bathroom to get to one bedroom, which wasn't a problem for us but might be a bit odd for some people.

Ingleton is a lovely place and the cottage is in a great spot for everything and, from the first enquiry to post trip, Clarissa couldn't have been more helpful.

Based on price, location, comfort and service it's great value for money and we really enjoyed our stay.

Hi Matt. Thanks for the feed back. Yes the cottage is a little quirky in its layout, being a converted cafe hence massive living space downstairs. Part of its charm but bath thing is bit restricting hence why put in large walk in shower and toilet downstairs. Glad you had good weekend. Thanks for leaving so clean. I walked in and for split second though oh have they been?

“Full of character”
Reviewed 30 April 2016 for a stay in April 2016

Really lovely house, full of character and charm. Lots of unique accessories and has a very relaxed home from home feel. Had a little trouble parking as the house is opposite a very popular fish and chip shop but we managed eventually.
Great communication from owner who was very accommodating and the box of chocolates on arrival was a nice touch.
House is located in a great place within walking distance of the 'Ingleton Falls' walking route. This takes around 3 hours at a leisurely pace and has some spectacular views on a nice day. We stayed here because family were taking part in the 3 peaks which is a 20 minute drive to the starting point at Horton In Ribblesdale.
We would definitely stay here again, great rental property.
One little negative comment would be that the bedroom downstairs could do with a net curtain or something to cover the window in the door as we had to improvise with a towel to stop the world seeing us getting undressed. Possibly a heater to plug in down there too as it took a little while to warm through with no radiator in there. That wouldn't be a problem at all in summer.
Thanks for a great stay

Thanks for note on the downstairs bedroom. I'd never thought. Covered window now. There is actually underfloor heating in that bedroom with its own control of the wall. It's detailed in guest book but I have put sign on the wall now and also put a heater in as it will allow guests more chance to dry clothes out over heated too. Thanks for the tips as difficult to know what needs changing sometimes. I've now bought a chalk board for guests suggestions of stuff to change /fix

“Great location, loved the large living area”
Reviewed 9 March 2016 for a stay in March 2016

The location was ideal for the waterfalls walk in the daytime and a meal out in the evening. The chippy across the road was great, very large portions of chips so worth considering sharing. Clarissa was very accommodating and added some thoughtful extras - thanks for your hospitality, it made our Mother's Day!

“Great cottage in a perfect location.”
Reviewed 29 February 2016 for a stay in February 2016

I travelled here with friends & family (group of 7) for a long weekend at the end of February 2016. I had spoken with Clarissa, the owner, before arrival who had advised we could arrive any time on the Friday which worked out perfect for us!
We were greeted with a box of chocolates on arrival & straight away got the log fire going to warm the place. The fire worked a treat and we had a lovely cost Friday night in by the fire.
The bath in the upstairs of the cottage was definitely a treat and I think most of us had a good sock whilst we were away... water was lovely & hot and the towels provided were to a high standard.
Overall we had a lovely weekend and will definitely look to return for another long weekend in the future.

Only one thing to mention (which is not a negative but would like to let the owner know)... the symbols on the cooker/oven appear to be wearing off so we did struggle a tiny bit working out how to work the grill & the oven. After a little research on Google we managed to work it just fine.

Thanks for a lovely stay Clarissa & we hope to return soon! :)

“Lovely stay in a lovely cottage”
Reviewed 25 February 2016 for a stay in January 2016

Cannot recommend this cottage enough, in a lovely location with lots of local pubs, restaurants and attractions etc.

The cottage itself was so spacious and beautiful.

Would love to return in the future!

“home from home!!!”
Reviewed 18 January 2016 for a stay in January 2016

Thank you so much for renting out your cottage. Our stay was absolutely brilliant, it is lovely and clean, very spacious, plenty big enough for 6 ladies to have a relaxing time. The location is absolutely perfect for walking, visiting or just using the local pubs, shops and cafes.
They have refurbished the cottage to a very high standard, it has everything you need for what ever type of visit. The cottage is right in the centre of the lovely village of Ingleton. We even enlisted the help of the local beautician for a pamper night, excellent!
We enjoyed our stay so much we have re - booked for next year. We used the Chippy right across the road and the Indian next door, both excellent too! There are a plenty of other eateries and pubs which we will try next year. Definitely worth a visit if your in the area.
