“Ok for one night”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 14 June 2013

My Husband and I stayed here as we were watching the Wurzels at the Wookey Hole Theatre.
The room was clean and large. The bed was quite small in comparison and was a bit lumpy. The bathroom was clean and Travelodge style as others have noted.

All in all can’t complain for a one night stay and it is super convenient if you are sampling the delights of Wookey Hole!

We stayed for one night following a day of adventure in the caves and papermill. The staff were friendly and helpful, and the room was clean and pleasant. I thought it was a wonderful place with amazing countryside surrounding it. I have recommended this to several friends, particularly those with kids and would happily venture back that way!

Lovely place to stay. Staff were helpful and friendly. Room was great, very clean and tidy. Bed was extremely comfortable. Great value for money! Food was very good too. Only negative was the restaurant was quite warm but other than that a fantasticplace and will be returning!

Stayed at Wookey hotel for a short break with my Husband and 2 Kids, aged 8 and 6, over May half term. Entrance to the Caves, Mill and children's play areas and pennies for the old fashioned arcade were all included in the very reasonable price. Rooms clean and pleasant and the staff at hotel were very friendly and helpful, as were all the staff at the caves and mill. The cave guide was particulalry entertaining! There was so much there to do and the children loved every minute. We would happily go back again.

Stayed at this hotel Saturday night for one night. The hotel is in a lovely country setting with plenty of parking. Our room was very clean and comfortable with a very good shower and bath. The only down side was a noisy bathroom fan which would not cut out automatically and noisy guests arriving back at 1am. We had room only but you could add a continental breakfast for £5 or a full for £7.
Apart from inconsiderate guest noise everything was very good. Hunt for the best price on comparison sites before booking.

Room Tip: suggest a first floor room which has better views and no kids banging out above you.

Myself, my husband and our 2 three year old children stayed in this hotel for three nights. It was very clean and our room was spacious. Our children slept together on a sofa bed which I thought wouldn't go down well but we had a great time. Had a day in the Wookey Hole attraction which we all enjoyed. The reception staff weren't overly friendly that would be my only negative comment oh; and the restaurant area a little grim. However, we would stay here again.

Room Tip: I would ask for a room away from the reception area.

I went to this hotel with my Wife and 7 month old baby so that we could explore Somersets attractions on a long weekend, I found the staff to be very friendly, the hotel to be clean and spacious and the bar/restaurant to be equally family friendly even when the football was on.

I'd recommend this to anyone looking to explore the Somerset area with a young family.
