Description: Originally 3 cottages knocked into one, The Ring O Bells is a 14th century pub in the heart of the picturesque village of Wookey, 2 miles from the Cathedral City of Wells, the smallest City in the UK and 6.5 Miles from Cheddar & Glastonbury. The pub still retains it's original inglenook fireplaces and visible stone work. The pub was recently taken over earlier in 2016 by Graham and Denis who are both local to the area, Graham is our head chef and is quite famous round these parts for his fantastic food! You will always be welcomed with a great meal and a chance to sample one of our many local ales. With a friendly team, a mouth watering menu, a large range of beverages and a fantastic atmosphere we are sure once you have visited your only regret will be having to leave. When visiting Wookey we always eat here.A cosy traditional pub with friendly service offering local ales and ciders. The food here is home cooked and there is a varied menu for large and small appetites and vegetarians. Can highly recommend the Brie bacon and cranberry on malted brown bread - out of this world ! The home made chips are to die for.

I won a meal for 2 at the Ring O'Bells Inn in a raffle. I had no idea what to expect from them, but I can honestly say we enjoyed every single mouthful. A new menu meant my first 2 choices weren't ready, but I had the liver and bacon and it was superb. It may have been 3rd choice, but it was first rate! Sticky toffee pudding was light and lovely and we both had that and can recommend it. The pub was almost empty on a Friday lunchtime, which was a shame, because people are missing out!

So thank you to the landlord for turning my prize into a wonderful dining experience.

Went along to the ring o bells on Tuesday early evening. There is a lovely cosy feel to the place and the landlord, Nigel was very welcoming and friendly, as were the rest of the staff and the locals who came in whilst we were there.

Had a few drinks and then ordered steak and chips ... Absolutely gorgeous! .. Really tender steak, homemade chips and a lovely dressing on the salad. We didn't have any room for pudding!

We were given a great Somerset welcome and it is such a shame we didn't find this place earlier so we could have returned and had a few good nights there.

We will definitely return when we have another visit to the area. By the way, we stayed at Beaconsfield farm, which was fantastic!

Sending you warmest wishes from Kent.

Sue and Colin

Enjoyed a very tasty and very filling meal here on the 21st September. Starter of mixed olives, sundried tomato and stuffed peppers followed by chicken in a mango and sweet chilli sauce, hubby had the chilli. Both were delicious and neither of us could make room for dessert given the generous portion sizes. Service was prompt and friendly. After the meal we were highly entertained by a quality singer/guitarist performing a medley of songs from 60's onwards, lots of old sing along classics and the landlord got out his guitar and joined in too/
All in all a great evening and can't wait to go back again.

We visited this pub several times on our holiday, the reception was always very warm and friendly, also dogs are made very welcome. The food was excellent, with a good range on the menu, the portions are good and filling, whilst sensibly priced. Highly recommended if you are in the area.
