Maybe a little expensive at GBP 99, but clean, tidy and comfortable room with tea/coffee facilities and set in a superb position with it's garden beside the canal.
Lovely receptionist (Denise?) who was very helpful with ice etc, but experience was spoilt by Oscar the very grumpy waiter who we obviously offended by not following what he felt was the correct procedure for entering his restaurant. First he ignored us, and then when I went to see him he eventually came to take our order without bringing us menus.
We walked out.

The hotel is on the poor side of average and the only thing premier about this inn was the price.
The bar restaurant next door is the real problem. One barman and more than twenty customers trying to order food and drinks. Lots of empty tables because everyone is in the long q for the bar!
When eventually I was served the beer was over priced and well past it's best but to stand in another 20 min q to complain just doesn't seem worth it.
Another premier inn I will be avoiding, time to find a different chain for my business trips!!

Nice welcome - the young man carried our bags to our room and welcomed us very nicely. The room was quite dark but, as we were using it to sleep and not to stay in during the day, that was fine! The room was clean and spacious. The maximum volume on the TV had been set just a "tad too low" as we both found it difficult to hear at times, but that is being really "picky"!! The hotel is situated on the side of the river and it is very easy to walk in to Guildford (if you have the time - ensure you know that you are capable of the distance before starting out though!) We had a marvellous walk and enjoyed every minute! A great alternative to staying at the other P.I. near the Lido - especially in the summer months when you can take in the wonders of the countryside.

This hotel is by the River Wey so there is a wonderful walk one can take along the towpath to Guildford. The hotel is quiet, the rooms very comfortable and well appointed. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would recommend it to anyone. Perfect location for visiting Guildford which is a superb country town with a first class theatre. The countryside is just wonderful.

Room Tip: We had room 17 which was to the back of the hotel and was so quiet it was terrific.

A very warm welcome upon arrival. This was with real people and not one of those machines like check in at Gatwick airport. Our room was not quite ready when we arrived at 2pm, so we went and had a drink in the bar which we found out was complimentary as the room had not been ready for us. What a lovely touch. As always the room was clean and fresh and neat and tidy and this family room was very spacious, just what we like.
We were using this Premier inn as a one night base as my husbands brother had just passed away and the funeral was at Guildford Crematorium which was just a 3 minute drive away and the wake was being held at the restaurant next door to the Premier inn. There is a lovely garden area and decking to sit outside on a nice day and the children can let off steam and use the play equipment. We used the restaurant for our evening meal which was quite reasonable (Beefeater), and lots of food choice. The plate sizes are good not too big. Bottomless soft drinks for the kids is handy too.

Our evening sleep was very comfortable which it always is, I have never experienced a bad night at a Premier inn yet! Although there is a very busy road outside we heard no rumble of traffic that could have disturbed our sleep. Breakfast was welcome in the morning. We were shown to an area where we could choose where to sit and have breakfast and the long table where all the cereals, juices, toast and tea / coffee etc. A waiter then came and asked who would like a cooked breakfast and this came to order and you can have as much as you like, you just say what and how many you want of each item, much better than the warm food that stays out for long periods of time.
Overall a very pleasant place to stay.

One night stop over here, service slap dash and unhelpful. Room small, not cleaned well and smelt musty. Will not be rushing back and will seek alternative accommodation when in need in Godalming next time.

I stayed here for a weekend. It is in a great central location. My room was quiet, comfortable, clean and of a good standard.Great value for money. Staff were very friendly and helpful.
I returned from work the following Wednesday to find a parcel waiting for me. I was delighted to find a scarf I had not even realised I had left behind! Well done Premier Inn!
