Description: Beefeater opened their doors back in 1974, and were driven by a passion for glorious steak. Mouth-watering cuts at mouth-watering prices was their motto. Reassuringly nothing's changed, these things still drive them today and they always will. Beefeater believe in two things, a warm friendly welcome and serving incredible steak.

Sunday lunch

Waited for over half an hour for food and when it arrived it was cold. String included with roast beef. Very disapointed. Plenty of other places in godalming. Won't go again.

It's been a while since I've visited a Beefeater restaurant and have to admit I was pleasantly surprised.
There is a choice of food is good, it was brought quickly to you piping hot, it tasted very good and had lots of flavour.
Service was good and nothing seemed too much trouble and when you did ask for something it was promptly received.

Best part when you pay the bill you receive a voucher for two all you can eat breakfasts for the price of one.

And even though I live in Guildford town centre which has lots of places to eat it's worth the small journey :)

Been here loads of times but never sat inside as we always go there to sit in the garden by the canal. There is a little jetty from which you can sit and catch Crayfish whilst downing your pint of whatever - a pretty good way to spend a summer afternoon. Afterwards you can go either way along the towpath and have a pleasant walk watching the boats go by.

This has had several iterations over the years and is currently back to being a beefeater again. Some of the previous attempts and themes, particularly the out and out were not good. However, now it's back to being a beefeater so the menu is their standard fare which is not bad pub grub. I've been three times recently to eat and have been pleased each time including a Sunday lunch for six which was pretty good value at around £20pp all in with drinks. It's not really a great beer drinkers pub, not bad but a bit over chilled and limited, it does, however, have a nice garden leading down to the river which is great for eating al fresco when the climate allows.
