Description: Small, friendly & charming We are a small but very friendly real traditional Ale house that welcomes all. We have darts teams and the local cricket club as valued customers. Jan's Kitchen serves up some amazing really hearty pub food, sensibly priced and always the freshest she can get. We have been around the area for some time, recently in Alton where we had two pubs ( one at a time ) and saw a great opportunity with the Leathern Bottle to make our home in Godalming a few months ago. The Pub is decorated in canal themed art work, which reflects its proximity to the nearby canal, and it serves tasty lunches to boatman winding through the countryside and locals alike. We have a few parking spaces on the front of the pub, but there is a large council car park next to us which is free in the evenings.

“friendly old fashioned pub,the way it should be”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 24 October 2012

Good pub, good friendly atmosphere, and reasonable prices on the beer and food, I would recommend this pub if you like an original British pub its small and cosy with a good crowd of locals who are very friendly.
The landlady has recently passed away after running this pub for the last 30 years, but her son is carrying on the legacy that was left behind. good luck to you Neil.
