Review of Holmfirth Vineyard

Holmfirth Vineyard
Reviewed 16 June 2014

Have just returned from a thoroughly enjoyable time at the vineyard. The tour was very informative mixed with a good deal of Yorkshire humour, the wine tasting was "what it said on the bottle" and the afternoon tea was delicious. Stunning views on a beautiful afternoon. Good luck to them with all their future plans.

Really enjoyed our visit through Groupon. Beautiful day, really interesting (and funny) tour and great food and (of course) wine. Highly recommended.

My partner and I attended on 12th June 14 for a Vineyard Tour, wine tasting and afternoon tea purchased from Groupon. Firstly it was excellent value for money and we would recommend it. The man that spoke on the tour was funny, witty, engaging and very honest! The wine was nice to try and happy it is from a local area. The afternoon tea was lovely! The views are amazing and as a whole very well organised! Will do again! Thank you :-)

Visited after being given a gift certificate and found the whole experience very worthwhile. We arrived early but had a delicious and good value lunch in their cafe. The tour was more of a talk from the knowledgeable and good humoured Luke followed by wine tasting. Luckily the sun came out so we were also rewarded with great views across the valley. Well worth a visit to England's highest vineyard!

Me and my husband visited the vineyard with a Groupon voucher, which was excellent value.
The tour guide was very helpful and knowledgeable we enjoyed it and found out a lot about the wine making process. It would have been nice if the tour had included a little more walking though the vines. The first half of the tour was outside explaining the history of the vineyard and the grapes themselves. The second half was inside and explained the pressing and bottling process. The tour was just the right length and I learnt a lot about wine making. We then tasted a sample. After we had lunch in the restaurant which was good quality but the best thing is the view of the holme valley. We spent about 2.5hrs at the vineyard, so not a full day but a nice morning out.
