It was our first trip to the UK,but not our last. The staff at The Old Bridge were great. We had special attention from Lynne, Josh and Steve and the list goes on. The location is prime as I just had to go to patio doors to capture lovely photos of Holmfirth. It was unseasonably cold when we there in mid March, Will probably plan for July in 2015. The meals were fantastic, My husband's favorite was a beef pie and mine was fish and chips w/mushy peas. Breakfast was made to order and started our days off brilliantly. The hotel is a great start for any trips as buses are right out front and you an walk all over town from this central location. We traveled on to Wales and Scotland, but The Old Bridge was my favorite!

I stayed here twice in April 2013 as a single traveller and found it to be very good for short stays. It's really the only place in town, so book well in advance. Nice rooms - not the biggest but no issue - and very good service and food. Parking can be a problem but there is a Pay + Display directly opposite.

I have dined here several times and think the food and service is outstanding.
The staff have always been attentive, polite and helpful. The food is always lovely, portions are great-very good size. The menu is a good size and has lots of options as well as specials available daily.
I have dined here at lunch and on an evening and would recommend this place to all of my friends and family.

I stayed for two nights. The first night was spent in Room 18 but there is a ventilator fan which emerges from the hotel near the room and, being a light sleeper, the noise of the fan kept me awake. Next day I asked for a change of room which was willingly agreed and I slept in Room 17 which is located at the front of the building. Unfortunately, being a Friday night, there was loud music emanating from the premises next door which continued until about 1.0am.
All that said, the rooms are very clean, nice en-suites, flat-screen television and many other facilities. I would certainly return but not on a Friday or Saturday evening.
Good car-parking facilities.

Room Tip: Do not take room 18. If at the weekend, make sure the room as it the back of the hotel.

I've eaten here several times with family but wouldn't go back. Each time I've found the service to be slow, its hard to get a drink at the bar if its a little bit busy as people congregrate around the bar and the bar staff seem to favour the local drinkers over anyone coming to eat. Waitresses have always been pleasant but I've always found the service to be slow. Food is typical pub grub - OK but there are much better places to eat in the surrounding area

I was a guest at this hotel as part of a group of 12 motorcyclists passing through west yorkshire. the hotel had good parking within view of the reception desk and gave us total faith in the security of our vehicles. the atmosphere was good as was the comfort. i would certainly rate as excellant with the attention the staff gave being exemplary. im hoping to do that ride again this summer and will definatly be booking our group in there.

Room Tip: facing the river was the most pleasant aspect since it was lit at night in a comforting and pituresq...

We have stopped in the executive suit several times, bed and breakfast for £100 per couple. it's a very nice room, hugh infact. The main suite is spacious clean and comfy. The bathroom isn't great though. The breakfast is very nice , proper Yorkshire style. In the evening we went to Piccolinios for a very nice Italian meal.
