A fantastic room which had almost all you could wish for, including an amazing bath/shower room. Shampoo needed by the bath.
Jason was a happy & extremely helpful host & the breakfast delicious.

The whole experience was delightful, from the warm, friendly welcome on Friday night, to the excellent room & ensuite. The web site truly reflected reality & we came rested, nurtured and anxious to return!
The Valley View room was warm, very comfortable & well equipped. The extra touches like the cafetiere rather than instant coffee & the bath oils & candles all added to the enjoyment.
Breakfast both mornings & the evening meal on Saturday were beautifully presented and delicious. The large dining table shared by other guests ensured lively and interesting conversation. All in all a lovely weekend, looking forward to returning, thanks Rachel & Jason

A beautiful old stone building within walking distance {albeit down a steepish hill} to the centre of Holmfirth, ideal for anyone seeing a concert at the picturedrome as we did last night and another tonight.
Clean and well appointed rooms with tea - coffee making facilities , tv and en-suite, excellent breakfast with a varied choice .
Jason and Rachael are great hosts, very friendly and informative.
Our second visit and confident it won't be our last.
Very reasonable b&b at £70.00 per night for the two of us.

We have just returned home after a great weekend away at Sunnybank. We were in Manchester on Friday evening for a concert at the cathedral but were still able to use Holmfirth as a base after the event - less than an hour to get back from the centre of Manchester. Plenty to see in the vicinity and the beautiful moorland of the Pennines is (literally) just a five minute drive from the house. Jason and Rachel were extremely friendly, obliging hosts. Would definitely use this accommodation next time we're in the area !

We used this B&B as an overnight stay whilst visiting the nearby Sculpture Park and the new Hepworth Gallery in Wakefield - both absolutely fantastic. Mostly an unknown area to us, but just one night in this lovely place was enough to suggest that we should have spent more time in the area. We stayed in the Valleyview Suite which was a large, beautifully decorated room with a wonderful en-suite bathroom, a Super Kingsize comfortable bed and lovely art deco furniture. Breakfast, in the nicely decorated dining room overlooking the gardens and out towards the Pennines, set us up for the day - well cooked and presented by Jason with a good choice on the menu. All-in-all a great stay and hopefully, one day, we'll get chance for a return visit.

Overall, a wonderful stay at Sunnybank this past weekend. In Holmfirth to visit family, my husband and I wanted our privacy at night time, so we booked this based on other Trip Advisor reviews. We found the place, but wow, the narrow lane (Upperthong Lane) from the village is scary in parts - it won't accommodate a car bigger than a VW Golf - no SUV or Land Rover here people! If you come from the other direction, the lane is wider, but the driveway to the house (B&B) is pretty tight, so careful on your driving.

We opted to take the Valley Inn Room - which is not in the main house, nor on the website right now - it's thoroughly modern, spacious and with a big bathroom with shower. Had everything we wanted, cookies and free water too :) They offered to deliver breakfast both mornings, so of course, we said "yes" - great food!

The one and only drawback - the room was on the ground floor, and footsteps could be heard above. As we are light sleepers, this was primarily an issue in the mornings - no hope for a true lazy lie-in. If you're early risers, no problem for you - but we're a lazy couple. We took a tour of the bedrooms in the main house before we left - the Honeymoon Suite was amazing, and the Church View Room (which we nearly booked) was gorgeous too - will take one of those rooms next time - as we'd certainly come back.

Room Tip: For a splurge, and an amazing "from the bath view" over the Yorkshire hillside, go with th...

Thank you for your kind comments and I'm so glad you enjoyed your stay.
I would just like to comment on your remarks about the width of Upperthong lane - Whilst it is undoubtedly narrow near the old Methodist chapel - It will still take, believe or not, a transit van! Although If guests wish to avoid this part, it can be easily done by using Little Lane.
Can I take this opportunity to point to any future potential guests that we are on the edge of the Peak District in the Pennines - hills and dry stone walls come with the territory!
