Just had a fantastic stay at the wonderful Kildrummy Inn, it was such a pleasant stay, hot water all the time, very comfortable beds, quiet, very clean, nice little touches here and there.......I have to say that my wife and I really enjoyed our stay, we felt very much at home, it has quality stamped all over, a fledgling venture that we can see will just take off and soar above the wonderful semi wild backcloth of Donside.......hosts Nigel and David with the huge support from their partners can be justly proud of their hard work and endeavour, we can totally recommend a short stay or a longer one, you will as we will........returnnot as guests...but as friends.......thanks Kildrummy Inn

Room Tip: Best book well in advance for the twin bedded room......the other three are doubles......no issues w...

Just discovered Kildrummy Inn although I have visited Alford to see family for over 40 years. It is superb. Delicious beautifully cooked food with interesting quirks. Presentation and service just great. I will be back and thank you.

My wife and I enjoyed a fabulous weekend at the Kildrummy. We had warm and friendly service from Nigel, David and the family team throughout our stay. After 3 outstanding meals backed by Nigel's expert advice on suitable wines we were delighted to hear that the team had been awarded 3 further awards including Best Rising Star restaurant. The combination of outstanding food, warm welcome and great scenery, especially from our comfortable bedroom, will mean we will be going back.

Travelled out to Kildrummy Inn for Sunday Lunch with 4 children in tow (9,7,5 and 3 years old). We were a wee bit late on arrival; despite our tardiness, the staff were relaxed and extremely welcoming. We were treated to an exceptional meal . The starters were so tasty (the parfait melted in the mouth, and my wife's goat's cheese was sublime). Succulent and tender roast beef was devoured (the best ever according to our carnivorous 7 year old daughter), together with light Yorkies, sweet roasted vegetables, and a glass of Argentinian Malbec for the adults. Suffice to say, this was the best meal we had eaten in a very long time, and the kids unanimously voted it as the "best lunch ever"! No question as to where we will be travelling for our next lunch out, and easily the best place in Aberdeen/Aberdeenshire to recommend to our friend and relatives.

When we heard that the winner of Scottish Chef of the year was taking over the Kildrummy Inn we couldn't wait to visit and sample his food. Living just outside Aberdeen the drive was not too far, however for the exceptional quality of dining and the atmosphere and staff we would have gladly travelled further! Every aspect of our meal was delicious and we could tell that great care had gone into the preparation, cooking and presentation of the food. It is an absolute must for anyone looking for fantastic food in a relaxed atmosphere. We didn't stay overnight but we were shown the rooms all of which look very clean and comfortable. We recommend it to everyone we know.

As a worker that travels the length and breadth of the country, it is important that I get plenty of rest.
Staying at the kildrummy inn gave more than i could have hoped for.
Away from the hustle and bustle of everyday life sits the rural stand alone premises that is overlooked by rolling hills and fields as far as you can see.
The staff were extremely freindly and very knowledgeable about the locality and it's attractions.
There was an extensive selection of drinks behind the bar, and a select menu to choose from. (the chef having been named Scottish chef of the year)
Overall the food was divine, service impeccable, and the rooms were extremely comfortable.
I would definitely recommend it, and look forward to a return.
