I arrived in Annan tired after a 400-mile drive and could see that my more or less random booking had been a good one. I stayed in an immaculately clean and tidy single room with a nice en suite. I made good use of the free wi-fi connection and came down to a very nice breakfast in the morning.
All in all, nothing absolutely spectacular but a very nice guest house and would definitely stay again if I found myself in the area again.
The gentleman told me that a lot of their trade is traffic passing through on the way to the Stranraer ferry.

Jim and Sarah will go out of their respective ways to make you feel at home in theirs. Our room was huge by standards normally found in the average hotel, the mattress firm, the facilities clean and functional, and access without stairs. Breakfast is prepared to your specification from a choice of morning foods common to this part of the world and cooked to order by the hostess. A fine, peaceable place within walking distance of downtown and rail.
