Very intimate setting. Great food. Lovely service. Brilliant staff. Made you feel special without being in your face.

Excellent service. The food was good but the prices were steep. Small and very clean. We were short on choice due to eating a bit late. Sorry we missed the place down the street, they were closed.

Great fish and chips - ultra fresh fish and good chunky chips one night; the other - langoustine and mussels - delicious!
Friendly, cheerful service too.

Recommend booking a table and we found it worth going early too as some dishes are clearly popular and sell out. The portions are really generous - three of our party had haddock and chips which was really well presented and went down well; I opted for two starters instead of a main and can thoroughly recommend the seafood chowder which was pretty much a meal in itself and excellent value. My "main" of scallops and black pudding was lovely too. My wife had the sea bass substitute - sea bream - which was well received. We were travelling so just had soft drinks which were fine. The wine list looked a little on the expensive side but nicely selected and I am sure if we had been staying in the village a bottle would have been sampled. Staff were friendly - and chefs looked very calm in the semi-open plan kitchen. The Broons and Oor Wullie books on the table brought back memories of childhood Sunday Post reading which was nice! All in a very nice experience - well done to the owners and staff for creating a memorable eating place.

Visited here on the strength of reviews but was rather disappointed. From the indifferent welcome (kept waiting in the doorway for some time despite many free tables) to the disappointing and overpriced food and frankly bizarre music.
Very expensive food lacking in flavour, watery microwaved vegetables and oversalted starters. The service was bored and irritable.
At these prices, get your act together!
