A home away from home with every comfort considered. The complimentary whiskey in our room was a special touch and we appreciated the carefully considered and tasteful decor of The. Moorings in addition to it’s excellent location. A quick walk from the station, a yummy bakery and pizza place over the road and a perfect view of the little harbour. Nothing was too much trouble. We’ve stayed in Bnb’s all over the world and consider this to be up there with the best.

Stayed over night in Malliag after taking the Jacobite Train from Fort William. Heather as proprietor was welcoming and attentive and the B&B is newly renovated, clean with all amenities. Loved having a drink in the conservatory which is comfortable with amazing view of the Harbour. Breakfast was top quality. Would recommend this to all.

First visit to Mallaig and apart from the weather Heather is a credit to her Guest House. From the spacious room to the welcoming dram it was perfect. The breakfast was excellent and plentiful and I can still taste the kippers. The weather took a turn for the worse but Heather went out of her way to dry my clothes including my shoes.
Will we return, in a heartbeat.
Thank you once again

On a 15 night trip in the Highlands this was by far and away the best B&B we stayed in. We had a room overlooking the harbour which was very clean and beautifully furnished. There was even a carafe of whiskey for the weary traveller! The Guesthouse also has a conservatory/lounge for guests to sit and admire the view. The breakfast was also a standout feature. Heather has made a wonderful job of restoring this property to top notch condition. Our only regret was that we stayed for just one night.

Mallaig is a great place to stay for a few days with the "Hogwarts" steam train running from here to Fort William and back. Easy day trip. Described as the worlds most scenic rail journey - but a tip, the Scotrail train makes the same trip approx every hour. Same view but much much cheaper!

Room Tip: Ak for a harbour view room if one is available

Very welcoming reception from Heather, the proprietor. She and the staff in the morning were fantastic, easily a 5 out of 5 B&B.
Amazing to have a decanter of whisky along with the usual tea and coffee making facilities.
The whole place is well decorated and spotlessly clean.
Breakfast choice is made the night before but it seems can be added to on the day. The porridge comes with a platter of cream, honey, brown sugar and whisky!
Next time I'm in Mallaig I want to stay here.
