“Stunning view, comfortable accommodations!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 30 September 2013

Very happy with accommodations. Comfortable, spacious and a view to die for! Breakfast wasn't as much as some B&B's but given the low cost of the suite, definitely was adequate for us. Hosts were very gracious and helpful.

Stayed here about a year ago, in 2012. The suite was spotlessly clean; the bed was comfy. Air conditioned; a necessity in hot summer weather Lillooet is famous for. Nicely landscaped, ample outside seating, and there is a trail down to sandy beach area on the Fraser River. Not really suitable for swimming due to the fast-moving current farther out, but wonderful to sit beside. We saw that there was a campfire spot, but did not use it ourselves; worth inquiring. Friendly, helpful and non-intrusive hosts.

The only remotely negative thing was the breakfast. Fruit, muffins etc. left in fridge. We would have liked a hot, cooked meal, but it is only a few minutes into town to the grocery store, and the suite has a full kitchen. Tea lovers - the water is okay tasting for drinking but tea might be best made with bottled water. :-)

We would definitely stay there again, and recommend it heartily.

Room Tip: Bring breakfast fixings if you want hot food - home-baked goodies & cereal & fruit is provid...

The room was in the building next door to the owner's house, and had a magnificent view of the Fraser River and the mountains across a nicely kept lawn. The studio was neat and clean and well appointed (and air conditioned) and the owners were friendly. There was even an apricot tree in the yard! But we had to ask for several items that should have been in the room. The only negative was the breakfast (we had expected the usual breakfast that a B&B provides) which was 'self-catered' meaning that they were to supply the food and we were to make our own meal when we were ready. Unfortunately, the provided food was marginal. Fortunately, there was a great supermarket just up the hill, and we made our own breakfast augmented with things from the store. If you go prepared, you'll enjoy this location. There are not many options in Lillooet.

Room Tip: Just make sure you have some breakfast things you like to eat with you. The room was great.

Our room was more like a self-contained studio overlooking the Fraser River with a garden and access down to the river. The room was clean and well-appointed and the hosts, who live next door, were very friendly. Lillooet isn't over-endowed with gourmet restaurants but there's a supermarket, the small town is very friendly and the surrounding countryside is wonderful. Breakfast was a bit basic and was left in the fridge the previous day for us. With a better breakfast, this would definitely be a 5-star B&B. (And there's an osprey's nest on the old bridge just along the road though it was empty when we saw it.)
